Thank you KOTLCkeephiefitzphie, without you I probably never would have published this on wattpad :D
A/N Hii! So I haven't been writing stories recently, or at least not putting them up on Wattpad. The reason for that is because I'd start writing a story but then start hating it. I spent so much time on the last one, that when I started hating it, I felt like all of those hours I spent on it were wasted. I took a long break from writing and then came up with a bunch of ideas. This one has been sitting around in my google docs for a long time and I still don't hate it so I'm going to give writing another try!
Screams of pain echoed around the city. A young woman of around 35 years old was dashing through the streets, quickly trying to get home. All around her, monsters were breaking into houses, installing fear in families. Babies shrieked from their little cribs, and cried loudly from fear. But none of this mattered to her. She needed to get home. Now.
Finally, her house came into view. She slammed open the door and ran in. Her panic and fear could be seen clearly in her emerald green eyes. She heard loud screaming coming from the baby's room.
The mother ran towards the sounds of the yelling, knocking down anything in her way, she will get to her baby. When she got to the room the door was wide open, and she could see everything going on inside. Her worst fears were confirmed: a big red creature with one orange eye and sharp claws was holding her child in their arms.
"GET AWAY FROM MY CHILD!!" She yelled desperately. Tears were flying from her eyes. She ran over to the monster and tried to grab her child from the horrible creature. But a strong hand yanked her behind the door. It was her husband.
"Let!! Me!! Go!!" she cried out, trying to wrestle herself away from him.
"No," he said, strangely calm, considering the situation. "I need to keep you safe." He gripped her tightly as she kept trying to get away from him. But it was too late.
The creature had slashed her child in half, blood staining the fluffy carpet.
And the mother hopelessly stared, unable to do a single thing.
