All of the info in this chapter was from Sarah's TikTok account
‼️⚠️ mention of rape and sexual harassment/abuse ⚠️‼️

You may all know this case from Tiktok. Sarah Turney has been posting about her sister Alissa Turney on her account (picture above), hoping to find help and know what happened to her sister. Sarah and Alissa's fathers name is Mike he married a woman by the name of Barbra when Alissa was 3 years old. Alissa Turney was born April 3rd 1984. Mike had 3 kids, Barbra had 2 kids, and together they had Sarah. Barbra passed away in the 90s, leaving Mike to raise the girls alone. May 17th, 2001, was Alissa's last year of junior year. Mike said he went to pick up Alissa to have lunch with her. He said they got into an argument, and when they got home, Alissa stormed off to her room. Mike then went to pick up Sarah he said he called Alissa but got no answer. After about ten minutes they arrived home and Sarah went to Alissa's room, but she wasn't there. Alissa's backpack had been dumped out all over the floor and her phone was found in her dresser. They found a note that Alissa left basically saying how she "ran away," but it didn't make sense because she made plans earlier in the day for later that night. There were also no signs of her taking any money, clothes, hair brush, etc. Although it was identified to be Alissa's handwriting, suspicions led to her being sexually assaulted, abused, and murdered by her father.
Here is the note Alissa left (not sure if this is the real one, but the real note did say all this)

The video below shows what seems to be an old footage that Sarah filmed when she was younger. In the footage, you can hear Alissa say, "Dads a pervert" but nobody believed her. About 4 years after she filmed the footage, Alissa went missing. Alissa was 17 when she disappeared and Sarah was 12. At first, everyone thought she just ran away. The police never looked into it until 7 years later in 2008.

When police finally looked into it, they sat Sarah down and told her that their father had been molesting Alissa her whole life and she had a sister she didn't know about. They even told Sarah they thought her father was responsible for Alissa's disappearance. The police later investigated the house and found 26 pipe bombs. This was the largest pipe bomb bust in Phoenix history. Their father got arrested and sent to prison after police found the pipe bombs. They told Sarah that as soon as her father got out of jail they would arrest him for the murder of Alissa Turney, but that never happened. After their father got out of prison the police told Sarah her best chance of getting her father charged for the murder of Alissa would be media exposure so she turned to TikTok and even has a podcast named Voices Of Justice. She also was able to put up a billboard on her own about Alissa despite being told months before that one would go up and she wouldn't have to worry about it.

After Sarah got the media's help, the police told her they wouldn't arrest her father without a body. Sarah then told police to search for the body around the house. Police then told her they don't have the resources to search for her body so Sarah offered them to get property owner permission and they said "We can not support the search of properties without probable cause on any property and a search warrant" to me it sounds like the police refuse to search around the house for an unknown reason. Upon hearing this, Sarah took matters into her own hands and interviewed her father since the police never did. In the audio recording (you can hear above in video) Sarah asked "What happened to Alissa" her father then responded with "be there at my deathbed Sarah and I'll give you all the honest answers you wanna hear" At this point I think Sarah started getting mad judging from her tone and said "Why don't you give them to me now" and her fathers response was "because you got them now" So Mike pretty much confessed to murdering Alissa. Sarah later on took the audio recording to the police and they told her "Well he didn't confess to us" Sarah also tells us that her father has been the only person of interests in Alissa's case for almost 10 years. Sarah is practically fighting this fight alone so please go support her and help her on this journey.

On Sarah's TikTok, there are videos of their father sitting in his car outside of Alissa's job and filming her while she worked. In the footage you can see that she gets in trouble with her boss (I'm not sure if it was her boss) but someone told her that her dad couldn't film and made her go outside to stop him. This tells us that even others found his behavior towards Alissa weird and made them uncomfortable.

Police then started to interview some of Alissa's friends. Her friends told police "she did make comments a few times, of being scared of him. She felt like he was going to kill her." This lets us know that Mike had to be doing something to make her be afraid of her own father. I can remember someone saying that Alissa's father would get jealous when she would hang out with boys, which is super creepy, but I'm not 100% sure if this information is true. It was also later figured out that Mike had hidden cameras in Alissa's room, meaning he had footage of her changing and doing other personal things. He was watching his own daughter without her knowing.

It was also figured out that Mike had purchased cement and Lye (im not sure if that's what it's called) which is an acid. Lye can eat away the skin and bone of someone, meaning there will be no trace of a body. What you can do with cement and lye is put the body somewhere, then put the lye over the body, then the cement. It takes 24 hours to report someone missing so by the time that person is reported missing, them question suspects, search the areas, find the grave site, and crack the cement the lye would have already ate away the flesh and bone leaving no body.

My theory
At first, I wasn't sure what happened to the body until I saw Sarah's TikTok saying her father bought cement and lye. I believe that Mike picked Alissa up from school early. He took her to their house and made her write the letter saying she ran away. Then he took her somewhere isolated and he might have raped or touched her inappropriately. He then killed her somehow (I think he strangled her) then buried her, body put the acid lye over her body, then cement, then finally the dirt. Then he went back home and scattered her stuff everywhere to back up his story. He then probably washed up in case there was dirt or something on him. Then he picked up Sarah and acted as if nothing had happened.

In a more recent TikTok, it was revealed that on August 20th, 2020, Mike was charged and sentenced for the murder of Alissa Turney. So now this case has been closed, and Mike is serving his sentence and rotting behind bars as he should.
