⚠️Notice: Please read "Crimson Smile" if you haven't already. This is a sequel⚠️
George walks and walks.
It's dark, cold, and his legs are tired.
How long had he been walking? How long has he been dead? Is he dead, or not? Why is it taking so long to get to the light?
George felt like he's been walking for hours, maybe days, months, years? How long? He's lost track. The only thing that's been keeping him company was the voices of Crimson's life story ever so often.
Right now, it sounds like Crimson has found someone to love. The boy was a ginger with piercing blue eyes. She snuggles, hugs, kisses him. Its a beautiful sight. George honestly doesn't know why he's getting memories from Crimson, it shocks him.
Now the ginger was caught cheating. Crimson is mad. She yells at him and slapped him. He apologizes, but she doesn't care.
George walks away from the memory, toward the light at the end of the void. The lights have been getting bigger and bigger the more he walks. And each step leaves him nervous- itching to know what was at the end of the tunnel. No matter what happened, he was ready. He's seen and been through the worst.
There wasn't a second of his walk where he didn't think of his friends. Is TapL okay? Did Skeppy and Zelkam get their souls back? What happened to Dream? Am I even alive? The thought of death pierced his heart. He didn't want to die right when the conflict was fixed.
But all he could do was walk.
And listen.
And hope.

Sapnap and Rose held hands. They walked through the city streets. It's been 6 months since the ghost was caught. Sapnap was able to propose to Rose, she said yes. They planned to have their wedding in the spring. It was winter, specifically December. Christmas was coming soon. They planned on visiting George- in fact, they had a gift for him.
When Dream was taken away, the group was taken home back to the mountains where they noticed Skeppy and Zelkam return to conscience. Bad almost fainted. He was crying for hours while Skeppy was confused out of his mind.
Technoblade was spotted eventually. He turned out to be a farmer just outside the path where Mega chased his truck. Speaking of Mega, he was taken to the Ghost Hunter's Cooperation eventually. It probably had to do with his two voices. He's went back to writing on notepads, but occasionally speaking.
A6D returned to the hospital labs. His work in the mountains were finished and he moved back to the far end of the city. Sapnap hasn't heard of him since, and doesn't know where he even lives.
TapL recovered fully after a month and is back in the fields, harvesting apples. Technoblade would help transport everyone from time to time. Usually when they did travel, they'd spend a week or two in the city. Everyone would alternate turns to check on George. It happened to be Sapnap and Rose's turn.
"Didn't Techno say that everyone was sending gifts for George this afternoon?" Rose asked, tilting her head. Sapnap stopped in his tracks.
"Oh yeah..." Sapnap coughed, "Lets drop by his place and pick them up,"
"He said he was going to drop them off at the hospital," Rose smirked playfully, "You never listen panda,"
Sapnap chuckled awkwardly, "Err, yup!"
Once at the hospital, Sapnap spotted Techno's farmers truck parked. The duo walked over and the door opened, revealing the pig. He greeted them.
"Hello," Techno greeted.
"Hi Techno!" Rose greeted back cheerfully, "Cold weather we're having!"
"Yup, turns out it's gonna snow again tonight," Techno walked around the truck and opened the shotgun seat door. Instead of seeing a pile of gifts, there was a person on the seat.
It was TapL.
"Yo!" TapL greeted. He slid out of the seat and onto the slushy pavement. At the feet of the shotgun seat was gifts placed neatly inside.
"TapL! I didn't know you were coming!" Sapnap gasped.
"Surprise!" TapL gave Sapnap a fist bump, "I came to help you bring these,"
"Thanks TapL, but isn't the travel a bit hard back?" Rose frowned
"Oh! Remember that river we crossed on the hike away from Dream, apparently we completely missed an actual trail leading to the lake. It's wide enough for a car to go on. Technoblade can drive up to your house and back if he wanted to.
"What about the lake?"
"There's a road going around it. It's much faster with a truck than having to alternate with hiking, boat, hiking, truck," TapL explained, pulling goodie bags and present boxes out of the car, handing them to Sapnap and Rose. Each of which everyone in the neighborhood made.
After unloading, they entered the hospital and greeted the lady at the front desk.
"I assume you're here to meet the patient George?" She smiled. Sapnap chuckled. The lady already knew since they almost made it a routine to meet George every day. Sapnap nodded. They were given the room key. Entering the room, the were greeted with the flowers and other gifts that were placed there a few days ago. On the bed was George, laying asleep on the hospital bed. Wires were in his arm and the heart monitor beeped normally. It was reassuring that George was able to sleep for so long and be healthy. They settled the bundle of gifts on the table and pulled chairs out to sit next to George's bedside.
"Hey George," Sapnap lowered his voice, sounding a bit more formal to his sleeping friend.
"Me and Rose are engaged. You're invited to our wedding. I know I told you this a few days ago, but I just want to thank you again. I don't think me and Rose would be together if it weren't for your bravery," Sapnap took George's warm hand into his own cold hands. The Brit didn't react.
"We miss you George, please wake up."
Rose wrapped her arm around Sapnap's shoulder, "He's tough, I'm sure he'll wake up soon,"
"You're right," Sapnap smiled at his fiancé. Her green eyes shone back at him, full of love and warmth.
TapL was next. He sat down next to George and looked at George with silence. His eyes shone with sympathy.
"Hey George," he began, "I know you might not hear us, but if you can, I want you to know that you're the soul reason we're all alive. That I'm alive. You've bared the most wounds than most of us. Don't let this injury stop you."
Sapnap could see TapL's eyes glittering with tears. He rubbed his eyes, "Ugh, it hurts to see you like this,"
Sapnap could feel Rose's grip tighten. He looked down and looked into Rose's eyes, glassy with tears. Sapnap could feel his own throat swell.
"You took so many stabs so we didn't," TapL continued, choking with tears. He stood from his chair and to the table of gifts.
"See this? It's almost Christmas George. Everyone got you a gift. Look-" TapL lifted a box, wrapped with red wrapping paper with a golden bow, "This one is from BadBoyHalo, and this one is from Skeppy, and this one is from Zelkam."
Sapnap looked away from the apple farmer, a tear rolled down his cheek. It was agonizing. TapL returned to his seat, now holding George's hand tight.
"We need you to wake up so you can open them," TapL's voice was broken, "So please, wake up George."
