Chapter 4

Police Station,

It was very silent. It's like the calm after the storm. Almost 2 hours had passed since those blood curdling screams and wails of pain shook the Police Station. Everyone was trying their best not to make any sort of noise. DD was interrogating the criminal who agreed to become official witness. The rest of the criminals were inside the lockup as directed by Neil.

Neil was inside his cabin. He was trying to calm himself. His head was on the desk and eyes were closed. He was now reminiscing her sweet voice. His closed eyes were seeing her innocent and bubbly face. He was letting out deep exhales frequently. His mind was slowly being at peace. 

DD walked out of the interrogation room. He had a huge smile on his face as the girl's location was acquired and also all the crimes committed by those bunch of criminals had been agreed to by their mate. He walked towards Neil's cabin and slowly peeked inside. He saw Neil still in the same position. DD immediately went back and stood at some distance from the cabin.

DD- Aab kya karun? Sir Ji ka gussa abhi tak thanda nahi hua. Pata nahi itna gussa karte kyun hai. Abhi toh andar jana maut ko bulava dene jaisa hoga. Thodi der ruk jaata hoon. Han yeh sahi rahega. Now what should I do? Looks like Sir Ji's anger has not cooled down yet. Don't know why he gets so angry. Going in now would be like calling death. I will wait for some time. Yes, this will be right.

DD was biting his nails while standing outside Neil's cabin, not to forget the distance. He was thinking deeply that what could be the reason behind Neil's anger issues when his phone starts ringing. DD jumps in his place being startled by the sudden ringing of his phone. He immediately receives the call not wanting to disturb Neil or the silence maintained by the police station. He walks out of the PS to have a conversation.

DD- Hello ?

OS- Oyee, Dakhal Dayalll.

DD- Mata Ji ?

Shweta- Han aur kaun ? Acha tells me tillu ka moods kaisa hai ? Woh angrys toh nahi haina ? Yes, who else would it be ? Okay tell me how is tillu's mood ? Is he angry ?

DD narrates all the happenings to Shweta. He was reporting every single detail of how the bunch of criminals were treated.

Shweta- Iss waqt tillu kahan hai ? Where is tillu now?

DD- Mata Ji, Sir Ji iss waqt apne cabin mein hein. Woh bohat gusse mein the, isiliye koi bhi unke aas paas nahi gaya. Maine jhanka toh dekha desk per apna sar rakhe so rahe the shayad. Mata Ji, right now Sir Ji is in his cabin. He was very angry which is why no one dared to roam around him. When I peeked inside his cabin, he had his head on the desk maybe he was sleeping. 

Shweta just hums in response and hangs up the call. She looks at the phone which had Neil, Avni and Ali's pic as the wallpaper with teary eyes.

 Shweta-( Monologue )- Avni ke jane ke baad Neil ne apni kya halat bana li hai. Mera tillu kabhi bhi aisa nahi tha. Itna gussa ke woh khud bhi usse sambhal nahi pa raha. Kaash 15 saal pehle Avni humse door na gayi hoti. Toh aaj yeh din na dekhna padta. Main pehle hi apni beti ko kho chuki hoon par aab main apne bete ko nahi khona chahti. Kaisa pathar jaisa ban gaya hai mera tillu. Koi jazbaat hi nahi hai usmein. Apne aap ko barbaad kar liya hai puri tarah. Nahi mujhe kuch karna hoga. Main aise haath pe haath rakhkar nahi baith sakti. Aab mujhe hi apne bete ki zindagi ko sambhalna hoga. Mujhe Tillu ko shaadi ke liye manana hoga. Aab koi ladki jab iski zindagi mein aaegi tabhi yeh phir pathar se insaan banega. After Avni's departure What has Neil done to himself. My tillu was never like this. So much anger that even he himself could not manage it. I wish Avni would not have gone away from us 15 years ago. So this situation wouldn't have risen. I have already lost my daughter now I don't want to lose my son as well. My tillu has become like a stone. He doesn't have any emotions. He has destroyed himself completely. No I can't sit still while my son's life gets destroyed completely. Now I have to take care of my son's life. I have to make him agree for getting married. Now when a girl will enter his life only then will he turn back to human from that stone.
