Waking up

 I regained my consciousness to total blackness. I didn't panic, I've been alive for 14 years, I knew my eyes were closed, and it would be easy to take in what was happening. 

So, the next rational thing for me to do was to open my eyes. They fluttered open, but closed again almost immediately because my pupils were greeted with harsh light instead of the soft sunlight coming from my skylight that I was used to waking up to every morning. 

 Where the fuck am I? 

 Once my senses really started coming back to me, I realized I wasn't in my house at all, but a hospital bed... 

 Huh?

 Only then did I start to panic because I had no idea as to how I got there. Did I get into a car accident? I racked my brains to try to remember how I had ended up here but nothing came of it. 

Okay... First things first. 

"What's your name, young lady?"   A voice asked. It sounded exactly like mine, but it was inside my mind.

One thing I could never forget was the nickname I gave myself. It wasn't my real name and no one called me it despite my pleas for them to do so-

 "My name is Remy." I replied confidently to the voice. 

 "Good. "

" What do you look like? " She continued. 

 I have no clue. 

 The only anchor I had to recognize myself by was the short blonde hair in my face getting in the way of my eyes, and the fact that I was incredibly short. 

 I needed to devise a plan now that I had asked myself the simple questions. One thing I wanted to do was to find a bathroom so I could really see myself in a mirror, then I could find a doctor to explain everything to me since I obviously couldn't remember...
