Fearing Love from the Alpha 

Chapter 20

So I just want to say I appreciate all my readers who have liked every single one of my chapters since the beginning. Sorry for this story being so slow, but suspense is what I crave.

“Sasha.”  My last whispering word was left in the air. I watched as Sasha ran through the woods. It broke my heart that she was running away from me. Her mate. My wolf howled in pain.

 Snapping out of my misery I ran after her. Her scent was lingering in the air for me to catch up. But as I thought I got closer I realized the wind was picking up leading me to a dead trail.

Growling in frustration my wolf snapped. He wanted, no needed his mate now. Stopping I let my self transform. The sickening pops and bone cracking was still a little uneasy to hear, but after two years you get used to it.

 I dropped down on all fours, listening to my clothes shred. Looking at my body I could see the brown hairs on my arm get longer and fuller. Closing my eyes I let my canines come out. Finally all was silent.

Slowly opening my eyes I listened to my wolf. Go. That one word got me sprinting after my sweet little mate. I don’t know why she ran from me, but I will soon find out. I could hear heavy breathing a short distance away from me.

 My paws pounded furiously closer and closer. Finally through a clearing I could see my little mate. She was curled up into a ball with pink tinted cheeks from the cold. I could see the fog of breath blowing out through her crusted dry lips.

Her eyes looked bloodshot and red from what looked like tears. I whimpered ready to get her, but stopped when I heard her tiny voice. “Don’t eat me.” My wolf snorted in humor. I trotted to her to see her sleeping.

 Her heart beat was steady yet slow. It soothed me to know she would be alright. Transforming back, I was glade she was asleep and not seeing me. Gently leaning down I picked her up.

My jacket did a good job off keeping her body warm, but her face was cold. Leaning down I took a whiff of her peachy scent. It calmed me down. Bridal style I walked back toward the car. These woods were memorized by me like the back of my hand.

Looking down at my gorgeous mate I couldn’t help but be memorized by her. I couldn’t help but feel a pang of hard core guilt off my thoughts from before. I couldn’t believe this little girl had already had me wrapped around her finger since the beginning yet I was too blind to see.

First in love, then in denial, now I know my true feelings. I know I will soon have to tell her about my not so happy past. I just hope she can see the good in me after I tell her the truth.

Stark naked I walked to my car without a care in the world. No one would actually see me and for that I was grateful. Punching in the code number to my car I gently put my mate in the backseat.

Jogging back to the woods I grabbed a pair of shorts from a tree trunk and my keys from where I phased. Quickly getting back in the car I put the heater to the highest to keep Sasha warm. Jumping in the driver’s seat I headed for home.

 My peaceful thoughts were crushed as my Beta Carter sent me a message through our pack link. Alpha he is back. At first I was startled by the sudden urgent message.

 

 My mind was too fuzzy to actually know who who was. Who are you talking about? I could feel a nervous joint go through me from Carter. It’s your dad.
