She's asking her mother if I was here and I almost speak that time.

As she's about to enter the double doors of the operating room while riding a wheel chair, I gave her hand a quick hold even though I doubt that she'd be able to feel it.

Good luck, baby. The next time I'll see you, I know you can already see the sun shines again. That time, I'd fulfill my promise. I'll marry you and we'll watch the sun sets together.

"Ikaw na ang bahala sa kanila, Mama. Huwag mo pababayaan ang pamilya niya. I'll call you from time to time."

"I'll take care of them, Dashiel. They're already my family, too.

"Marry her right away as soon as you come back." He smirked.

Natawa ako. "No need to tell me that, Pa. I'll surely do it."

They stayed in our house during those times and I'm glad she finally regained her vision.

I am the happiest man right now.

Mama even told me that Dreya's looking for me after the operation.

Damn. I wouldn't hesitate to give her my eyes but how about our future together? I can't die knowing that I still have promises to be fulfilled. Papakasalan ko pa siya, hindi ba? She can't marry a dead man.

"They're already back in Cebu, anak. What's your plan?" si Mama, isang gabi nang mag-FaceTime kami.

I sighed and leaned my back against the swivel chair. I clicked my signpen and put the end point on my lower lip.

"Let her live her life there, Ma. I know that she's still in trauma. Let her grow more and chase her dream.

"I'm sorry, Dash. I've already offered her a position in our school but she refused it. Sayang. Her credentials are excellent."

I asked her if she could offer Dreya a job in her school because I heard from my mother that she's now looking for a job. The only concern I have is the place where she will leave. But Dreya declined the offer which makes me wonder why.

"I see. Thank you for hearing my request, Shine." I said through our voice call.

"No worries, Dash. Even if you didn't ask me to offer her, I'd still do it myself. She looks hardworking when I met her personally before.
