My first three weeks at Hogwarts have gone much smoother than I expected. I've become closer friends with the twins and Lee. There's this nice Hufflepuff girl i'm pretty good friends with, Jackie Black. Overall, everything here at Hogwarts is exactly what I dreamed about.
As Fred and I were walking to our next class, Transfiguration, I bump into a a girl with short black hair. A Slytherin.
"Hey watch it!" She didn't say it in such a stern tone. She looked at me, then back at George. "Oh look, it's a Weasley," her and her little friends started to laugh, "Is your father really still learning about muggle artifacts? How useless." Her and her little friends laugh again.
"Yeah, pretty useless, but at least I have a dad that cares for me. What does yours do again? Doesn't he-," before he can finish a professor walks towards us, Professor Snape.
"What are you five doing out here...shouldn't you be in class?"
Before the girl can say anything, I grab Fred's arm and quickly say, "We're sorry, we were just heading to class." He gives us a questionable look as we quickly walk away.
"What was she saying? What's a muggle?" I look at Fred only to see him not being bothered by what she said.
"Rubbish. She said rubbish." He gives me a quick smile before we turn left and walk into Transfiguration.
Couple of months later
It was now exam week. The most dreadful week. During Winter break, I decided to stay at Hogwarts. Not many kids stayed here but it felt nice to have the common room to myself. I also like the thought of staying here than going back to London to see uncle Greymon. Lee and I have been studying hard for the exams all week, only for us to forget the material in a matter of seconds. Hours after hours in the library, we leave with out obtaining any of the information from the notes. George and Fred say they don't even bother studying because they know they're gonna fail anyway.
"You two really aren't gonna study are you?" I say as the twins walk into the Great Hall.
"Nope." They say in unison and sit down on the bench in front of Lee and I.
I close my book and tell them, "You know I don't think your mother is going to be very happy when she sees that you failed all your exams."
"Oh sweet Ophelia, do you really think we're that stupid. We've already come up with something to make her forget all about the exams." Fred says with a big grin on his face.
"It's one of our very own creations." George says looking at his brother very proudly. Lee does a facepalm while I let out a little chuckle.
"Oh yeah? Then where is your so called creation?"
Fred and George look at each other, then quickly look away, while Lee and I wait for an answer.
"Well, you see...it's still in the works." Lee and I look at each other and laugh.
"And when do you reckon it's going to be done? After your mum has seen your failed exams?" Lee asks the question so seriously, I laugh and the twins look like they give up.
"You know, I could help you, but, since you already have something to make your mum forget about your exams, I don't think you are going to need the help." I open my notebook back up and start to go over everything we learned. The twins look at each other as if they don't have any other option.
"Fine," Fred says with a big sigh, "But, we are only doing this because our potion is going to take a loooonnnggg time be ready."
"Whatever you say," I say as I hide the small smile on my face.
Exam week flies by and I am so glad it did. Helping the twins study was MUCH harder than I expected. All they wanted to do was..well anything but study. I don't blame them, the potions exam was the hardest of them all. I think I did pretty well for the most part but who knows, I probably failed them all.
As we all sit in the Gryffindor common room, we talk about how much fun this year has been. All the fun memories we made and all the all nighters we did. Like that one time when Gryffindor had a snowball fight with the Hufflepuffs. All the tears of laughter from the times when the twins got hit in the head by Snape's Potions book. I don't know how I dealt with them, but I know I really am going to miss them. I would honestly say that this year has been the best year of my life.
Flow, a word in psychology. The mental state one gets when fully immersed in an activity they enjoy that causes them to lose track of time. My time here at Hogwarts and hanging out with the twins and Lee made me experience flow.
Sorry this is so short, i've been really busy with school :( I promise that I will make longer chapters in the future :)
