Forever Still

I'm an outlaw to society's

expectations,

Of how I should be.

I don't even get,

How some people stand me.

Everyday, I wish I was someone else.

Anybody other than being myself.

I've tried to be popular.

I've tried to be cool.

But, all that ever happens,

Is I look like a fool.

I've tried taking myself out of this

world.

Only to be put back in again.

Sometimes, I wish I could lie here,

Wither away, and die.

But life won't let go,

And I don't know why.

Please, life I'm begging you.

I can't do this anymore.

Life cut the rope that binds me,

Forever to your will.

I wasn't made to live in this world.

Please, let me lie here.

Then go forever cold and still.
