Chapter 3-Mating Process

I wonder...

I decided to test the waters and deepen the kiss, careful of Y/N's wounds. Her body trembled and she let out soft sounds that were music to my ears.

Her moans were soft and delicate and I dragged my tongue against her lips, wanting more.

"Meliodas.." she moaned, giving me a chance to slide my tongue into her hot cavern.

I knew her calling my name was a warning but it was up to me to take it right?

I wasn't one to back out of a dare.

Our tongues met, swirling the muscles and connecting our bodies as we leaned back with one another.

My hands found her waist as I felt her figure curl up beneath me, but I didn't sense fear, she was shy and nervous.

"First time?" I tease, breaking away the kiss with a smirk. My dark eyes traveled down her face, taking in her features the more I grew intrigued about her.

How did I fail to notice this before?

"Isn't it yours?" She asked, scoffing and laying back against her bedding.

The light from the fire of the lamp shined off our faces, giving each other a clear view of each person's expression.

"Yes, but I'm not as flustered.." I taunt making her groan and cover her face.

I chuckled and leaned down, placing gentle kisses against the back of her hands, "Don't hide from me, I don't like it when you ignore me.." I sigh.

Y/N moved her hands, raising a brow at my words as I looked over at her, a neutral look on my face.

"Is that so?" She hummed, making me avert my gaze as my face got hot once again. I coughed and stood up, my back facing her as I cursed myself for speaking without thinking.

"Just get some rest, I'm glad to see you're alive." I cough out, heading towards the exit.

I could hear the woman giggling as I left, "You're a great kisser." She said as I exited.

"Earth to Meliodas!...Helllloooo?" Y/N waved in front of me.

I snapped out of my thoughts to look up at H/C Demoness, who was practically hovering over me from the side.

Our faces were lined up as she balanced on her hands and knees to look down at my rested figure.

"Are you listening?" She asked.

"Nice," I say, confusing her before I reach up and grab one of her breasts.

"Meliodas!!" She yelled, slapping my hand and sitting back down away from me as I let out a laugh.

I can say our relationship has been getting better over time but I'm still reluctant about this entire marriage thing, I mean it is arranged.

Was it meant to be? Were me and this Demoness from the bottom of the barrel meant to love each other?

I didn't know how to feel, I wasn't sure what it was that we had going on now.

I did feel something, that's for sure, I was convinced to call her my mate.

Or was I?

I did protect her. And she protected me, despite me being an asshole, her words not mine.
