BY THE WAY, THIS PART SHOULD BE GENDER NEUTRAL, IF THERE ARE PARTS THAT MAKE IT NOT SEEM LIKE THAT PLEASE TELL ME SO I CAN CHANGE IT.

As you hid in the depths of your room, tears flowing freely, thoughts of the same thing occurring over and over your head, little did you know a certain redhead was walking down the hall. He stopped in his tracks hearing small sniffles and sobs from the room next to him.

The flow of his green uniform came to a halt with the body it's grasped to. His heart sank as he continued to hear these sounds. He turned to the door, his eyes now laced with concern, narrowing in on the door. He slowly brought his hand to a fist and knocked softly on the door. The sniffs sounding more of a panic tone as the person they belong to realized they could be heard.

"May I come in?" The red-head spoke, his voice filled with sweetness and comfort. A small yes came from the room which signaled him to move his hand towards the doorknob. He slowly opened it, the room is dimly lit to his lilac eyes. He could see papers, clothes, shoes, and much more scattered about the room. The desk to the right was filled with an assortment of things along with the shelves and dresser. His eyes scanned the room looking for one thing, in particular, you.

You curled deeper into the covers as you sat in the corner of your room. You had brought the comforter with you and snuggled up into a cocoon. It always seemed to calm you down except for this time. You knew your room was a mess, but you couldn't help it. Every time you tried to clean, you never found motivation. So you just gave up on that idea instead. You couldn't see him but you heard and felt his footsteps come closer to you. You kept your eyes closed as your tears feel free. The body stopped in front of you and squatted down. You felt eyes piercing at you, but you were embarrassed to be seen in such a disheveled state.

Once he realized you weren't going to budge he got up and just sat next to you and just stayed there. Didn't move at all and just stayed next to you. His presence alone was enough to make you cry even more yet feel comforted. You didn't know why he was doing this. Why he would waste his time on you. Why he would just sit there and do nothing but be supportive.

Soon you heard a voice, it was a soft voice full of concern. "Hey..." It said, trying to get your attention. Finally, you opened your eyes and looked over at him. You're eyes were red and swollen. The skin around it was wet and your face was stained with tears. Just the look made him feel mortified. He wanted to take these feelings away and hold you forever. Instead, he gave you a small smile and slowly raised his hands, cupping your face, and wiping your tears away.

The red-head hummed softly, and you learned into his touch. He scooted closer and engulfed you into a hug. You hugged him back, your hands resting on his back, clutching his uniform. He ran his hands down and up your back, rubbing it. His head rested on top of yours, while your forehead rested on his chest. He continued to hum and you fell into another state of tears. They just continued to flow down, soaking his torso. You could feel the vibrations of his neck as he continued to comfort you.

"It's going to be okay, I promise. I'm here for you. Just let it all out. I know you're tired, and you can't bottle it up anymore. No need to explain to me, just let it out. I'm so proud of you. You've done so well. You've fought for so long. You deserve this moment. Just relax. I'm here for you." He whispered softly before humming again. He rocked you back and forth just trying to calm you down.

Slowly it was working. You continued to cry before slowing down. The tears soon stopped and a wave of sleep came over you. Before you could do anything, your eyes closed and you rested against. As you were enveloped by sleep, he slowly picked you up. He made sure the blanket didn't fall off of you as he laid you down on your bed. Once he started to move away, a small smile on his lips watching your sleeping form, he felt a hand tug at his.

He looked down to see your hand holding on to his. It was bringing him closer. Soon he followed it. You brought him close in sleep. He didn't mind it, he continued to comfort you as you wrapped your arms around his waist. Going back to the same position you both were on the floor, yet his chin resting on the top of your head, he fell asleep next to you.

You woke up, your eyes tired from the night before. A small yawn escaped your mouth and as you went to stretch. Yet, you were stopped by the body that they were wrapped around. You looked at him, a small smile tugging at your lips. You leaned into his embrace as you let the daylight from the window next to you warm up you both in any way possible.

"Hey there pipsqueak," He said, his teasing nickname helping the fact that you can hear the smile on his voice. "You feeling better? You got me worried for a second." A yawn coming from him as he brought you closer.

You nodded smiling along with him. "Yeah, I am. Thank you." You squeezed him tighter not wanting to leave this spot and you could tell he wasn't intended on leaving either.

"Wanna talk about it? You know I'm here for you." He muttered, the sleep making his voice sound rough and soothing.

"Maybe in a bit... I want to stay here. I like this, it's nice." You said softly, groggy from the sleep as well.

He nodded and held you closer, if that was possible, and just continued to lay there with you. Both of you, staying in this spot. He rubbed your back once again with his left hand, while his right hand played with your hair. He started whispering things about how he was always going to be here for you, how he wanted to help you next time, that no matter what he is going to take care of you. You couldn't help but smile at the words. You nodded along every time he asked if you understood. Just for that moment, even if everything seemed to go to hell, you enjoyed it as much as possible before something bad could try to happen and take away this moment.
