Another chapter! I am not really sure if chapters are supposed to be long because it really depends on the writer. Please bear with me. :) Hope you'll enjoy chapter 2! This is where things get a little cocky. --Love, stupidcupid

Chapter 2: The Confrontation

Mrs. Montenegro looked around to see if everyone has their books. Everyone got their books except for me. My teacher noticed it and asked me to stand up. I began to shake and quiver.

"Ms. Blair, how dare you not do as you're told? I asked you to get your book, so get your book!" Mrs. Montenegro said.

"Ma'am, I can't." I said, shyly.

"You can't?" she told me while gradually raising her eyebrows.

I couldn't answer back. I'm sure she was about to give me a brutal and merciless punishment if Ms. Jenny didn't call her. They would be having an emergency meeting. Thank God! I was safe. Again!

After a few more classes, It was finally break time. We ate together. For some reason, she was unusually quiet. Then she spoke up.

"So you have a boyfriend." she said.

"Not you too!" I replied.

"I'm just your best friend and I didn't know about it." Cheska said.

 "I don't have a boyfriend!" I said.

"Pinkie swear?" she asked.

"Yes, pinkie swear." I replied.

Pinkie swear is our sacred tradition. Once you swore it should be true or else... be prepared for the worst!

"Then who's that guy?" Cheska then asked me.

"I have no idea! And if anyone knows, please tell me so that i'd know what name to put on the restraining order!" I told her.

Even before Cheska could ask another question, I tripped. We were actually doing the conversation while walking. That's why I tripped over a can of soda. I almost fell down but someone caught me. It was Leo. I blushed.

I stood up and said "Thanks!"

All he did was smile back. I froze and looked at his face. There was something about it that made me want to keep looking. Was it his deep blue eyes or his rosy cheeks or his perfect smiles? I don't know. I don't care. Then I felt like I was melting. Good thing Cheska was there to snap me back to my senses.

"Hello! Earth to Kris!" Cheska told me.

 Then Leo left.

"You were blushing!" Cheska said.

 "I am not!" I said.

"Oh! Maybe just a little!" I admitted.

We both laughed. Then I heard a voice.

It said "Be careful next time."

I looked around hoping that it was Leo. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It was the guy! Somehow, I felt irritated. He's ruining my day again! Finally, I lost sight of him. Trying to calm myself down, I ate a sandwich.

Then Theresa, the annoying one, came.

"Oh. Nice sandwich. I'm just wondering about those chocolates. They look absolutely delicious. Why would you choose that icky homemade sandwich over that? What do you propose to do with it? Store it?" she said, teasingly.

 I smiled at her.

"I am so TOUCHED by your concern but it's really none of your business." I said, politely.
