Special thanks to Walking-Universe
for the great cover. Thank you Daviferous for encouraging me to write this.

How do I start? What do I say? Every storyteller feels like this at one time or the other.
Choosing a  story to tell is like choosing a path to follow. Each path is different from the other. Some are smooth, some rough. Just as some are wide and others narrow. So it’s with stories.  The Storyteller must choose the stories to tell, for just as paths lead to different places, stories teach different lessons in different ways.

Tapestry Of Fables is proof that I have made that choice. As you must have noticed, it’s a collection of  short stories. In weaving these tales, I took in consideration factors such as brevity,  diction and the rest. It’s quite characteristic of these stories to have things of nature as characters: Stars, plants and  animals.

This I have done purposely in order to reduce the complexity that might arise from human characters so
as to drive home the message with ease and straight forwardness , requiring no great mental effort. I do
believe that there are simple lessons that the things of nature can teach us. It’s my hope to illustrate  human lessons by seemingly common acts of animals, plants and stars.

Here, there are many stories as there are many lessons. As many lessons as there are many natural
things to teach you. It sort of reminds one of Aesop’s Tales, the famous fables or African moonlight tales.

However, these are more
modern and I dare say lean towards contemporary lessons with the same agelessness of stories told under the
starry heavens, under the Moon and around camp fires. These stories can be read at a stretch.

While being didactic, you would also find them entertaining, and at times funny. Who  says learning can’t be fun?   "The people of must be entertained" as Charles Dickens would say.

This is a world were predator and preys settle to a battle of wits, where flowers bloom and trees talk. A whole new world where nature speaks for itself. We shall join the eagles in flight and roam with the herds, while learning too.

The storyteller is like a guide leading listeners and readers on a journey through unseen paths into
worlds unknown, woven by his words.

Dear reader stay close, listen to my words and feel my voice
behind them as I lead you into this world of wonder woven on the rich tapestry of fables.
