Prologue

"Come Ryu!" Joe Hayabusa leader of the Hayabusa clan calls out to his 7 year old son Ryu Hayabusa.

Ryu is distracted looking at people with animal features, Ryu had never seen faunus before so they captured his eye. Joe Hayabusa calls out to Ryu again and finally grabs his attention.

"We're going to be late if you keep getting distracted Ryu" Joe says

"Sorry father"

Ryu and his father were invited to a white fang meeting by Joe's old friend Ghira belladona. Joe and ryu arrive at the meeting and are greeted by Ghira and his wife, Ryu notices a little girl with black hair and cat ears.

Ghira notices Ryu and says "Aah Ryu I'd like to introduce you to my daughter blake"

Blake slowly emerges from behind her father and struggles to introduce herself "I... I'm b... bl... blake"

Ryu can't help but smile and reply "I'm Ryu Hayabusa" as he extends his hand for a handshake. Although shy blake shakes his hand.

Ghira interrupts the greeting and says "The meeting is starting, we should talk later. Come now blake"

Blake gives Ryu a wave goodbye. Joe and Ryu stand around waiting for the announcements. Ghira was the head of the white fang and talked about new ways to fight for equal rights for faunus.

But Joe could see that some members of the white fang wanted a more violent approach. After the meeting was over Ghira called out to Joe and asks if the Hayabusa clan could join the white fang.

Although Joe trusted Ghira he did not trust all of the white fang and knew that once Ghira was gone the white fang would never be the same. Ryu decides to wander around while the grown ups talk.

He eventually finds himself outside standing under a big tree. Ryu finds a stick and begins to train. Ever since ryu was 5 the Hayabusa clan have been training him. Ryu practices his footwork and sword technique when he hears the sound of a breaking branch.

Ryu calls out to the person hiding "You can come out now"

The person slowly emerges from the shadows to reveal blake "I'm sorry" she says.

Ryu simply smiles and asks if she'd like to train. Although nervous she agrees and Ryu spends the rest of the night showing her the basic Hayabusa techniques.

After hours Joe and Ryu finally say goodbye to Blake and Ghira. Ryu tells blake to always practice and not to be afraid. Joe and Ryu begin to walk away.

"Hayate would be mad you made a new friend HAHAHA" Joe says to Ryu before leaving the island and heading back to the village.
