"Hey, coach we aren't going to be in today." I say as I pull the thermometer out of Noya's mouth to see he had a fever. "Why? Is everything okay? And who's we?" He asks and I get up to get a cold wet washcloth for his head. "Noya has a fever of 38.4 Celsius, if I leave him alone he could get worse." I say and run the cold water, filling a bowl and grabbing a clean washcloth. "I'll stop by in a few, I'll bring some medicine." Ukai says and I head back to Noya, putting the bowl on the nightstand. "Alright. I'll leave the door unlocked." I say and he hangs up, making me put my phone down and I pat the washcloth on his forehead. "Guess you were right... Bad idea to sleep with the window open." He says and I make a duh face, looking at him with disappointment. "I don't know why you insisted on it." I say and dab the washcloth on his forehead a few more times before wetting it, then wringing it out and placing it on his forehead. "I'll listen to you now okay? I didn't think it'd actually give me a fever." He grumbles and relaxes a bit more once the coolness of the washcloth sinks in. "It's coach!" I hear and get up, going out to the living room to see coach Ukai with a bag, kicking off his shoes. "So what happened for the sudden fever?" He asks and I shake my head. "The dummy wanted to sleep with the window open last night." I say and hear a grumble, making me look back into the room to see a glaring Noya. "Yeah, you heard me, you're a dummy." I say and he just closes his eyes, so I look back at coach. "Well at least you caught it, here's the medicine and some soup. I put some extra pudding bread in there for you too." He says and I take the bag, having him follow me into the room. "Alright, could you watch him while I get some water so he can take the meds and I can make his soup?" I ask him and he takes a seat on the side of the bed, while I head to the kitchen to get the water. I grab a cup and put ice in it, then water, swirling it around. I head back to see Noya's face a bright red. "Oh god, Noya did your fever get worse?" I ask and set the water down, moving the washcloth and feeling his head. It was cooled down but still pretty warm. "N-No, it's fine Kuu." He says looking away so I sit down, and open the medicine bottle. "So you live alone Kanitaki?" Coach asks and I help Noya sit up. "Yeah, My family disowned me." I say gently and hand up the medicine and water, helping him take it. "If you don't mind me asking, why did they?" He asks and I lay Noya back down, putting the washcloth back on his forehead. "They are homophobic and my choice in boyfriend at the time was even worse to them so they just disowned me. Looking back... I guess he was more important than my own family." I say and look at the picture sitting on my bookshelf. It was the day I gave Kuroo a promise ring, also the day my family disowned me. "You picked a guy over your family?" Coach asks and I give a soft chuckle. "As I said, sounded like the best thing at the time. I was young and in love. Either way, they most likely would have disowned me for simply being gay." I say gently and he shakes his head a little, looking down at Noya before back at me. "You'd think that this guy you were with would realize how much you gave up for him. But that doesn't matter, at least you've managed." He says and I shake my head, looking down at a sleeping Noya before getting up with coach following me to the living room. "Honestly I wouldn't have managed at all, Kuroo was the one that forced me to clean up because honestly, I didn't care. The only reason this whole house is clean is because of another friend that often hangs out over here. His name is-" The door suddenly opens to reveal a tired Teru. "Yuji Terushima." I finish and go help him. "Study too hard?" I ask and he groans, flopping onto the couch. "Where's Noya?" He asks and I sigh a little. "Noya's in the room, he's asleep and sick." I say and he finally looks at coach. "Teru this is my coach, Keishin Ukai. Coach as I said this is Yuji Terushima, the one besides Noya that keeps my head on straight." I say and he waves to Coach, who nods his head. "So what happened to Noya?" Teru asks and I sigh once again. "He insisted on leaving the window open when we slept like a dummy." I say and he laughs a little, sticking out his tongue. "Well I should head back to practice, just come back when Noya is feeling better. Oh, we have another game too, right after the one on Friday." He says and I nod a bit before he puts his shoes on and leaves. "It isn't weird to have your coach at your house to you?" He asks and I shrug a little, looking at the door. "Not really, he's like a friend to me, kind and supportive. He really cares about me overcoming my depression." I say and sit down near him, seeing his expression soften a bit. "Is it just me or are you getting more handsome by the day?" He asks and I roll my eyes a little, leaning back on the wall before he sits up and I look at him to see him pull a letter out of his bag. "That reminds me, a guy came up to me today from my school and told me to give you this. Said he was your brother." He says and I raise a brow. My brother? I take the letter and open it, pulling the pieces of paper out of it and I read the letter.
Dear Kanitaki Kuunosuki,
Mom and Dad are searching for you and they want to talk about possibly being reunited and accepted back into the family due to the lack of an old enough heir and a caregiver for us younger siblings. We can't get in contact with the eldest brother, Lunotaki. It seems he has left the country. Please dial me as soon as possible.
Your younger brother, Moritaki Kuunosuki.
I was in shock, disbelief, and a bit angry. "You gotta be kidding me."
