The Jokes on Me

Jokes to me were something to pass time, they aren't really meant to hurt anyone. Sometimes they can be taken to far, I wish I didn't take this joke so far.

In our school there's a large room that is used like an public study space. Most people just call it "The Outlet Room" Half the people in here aren't even studying mainly just hangout afterschool till it closes at seven. Me and my two close friends, Liam and Austin do both. I don't really come in here with anyone besides them unless, I have a study group. Now Liam is the idiot of our small group while Austin is like, well their like the quiet parent of our group, quiet, judging, and loving just without showing it directly. I have other friends but not like these guys. I am closer to them then I am with anyone else in my life. We were doing some work in the outlet room, when Liam slumped down in his chair.

"I don't know why Mrs.Wilton has it out for me so bad." Liam said with an annoyed grunt as he did his work. "Probably because you sleep in her class all the time?" I say in a questioning voice. Austin types away before looking up and over at me. "He does all his work and passes his tests, it shouldn't matter if he's sleep." They looked back down at their computer. Liam sighs and a smirk crosses his lips, he stops writing. "Let's play a round dare or else" I rolled my eyes "Do your work Liam" I said looking at my book which he pulled away and set down. "One round and I'll shut up I swear." He said giving his fake "puppy dog eyes" Me and Austin exchanged looks and reluctantly gave in. Liam went first and asked Austin, and Austin of course choose dare. Now this was pretty much the same thing as truth or dare expect if you didn't choose dare you would have to do some type of joke on someone around you. When Liam was picking it was best to choose dare, his jokes could be a little much. "Okay bet, Austin instead of submitting your essay submit one of your fanfictions from middle school." Austin looked at him and let out a annoyed sigh They typed a bit and then turned their computer around showing us what they submitted. Liam busted out laughing and I gave a sorry look to Austin. They only went back to work. Austin was a trooper for that one. The game went on for more than one round, but it was fun. Of course Liam went crazy with power but that normal. It was his turn again and he picked me. "Dare or else" he said, I thought for a bit "or else" I said confidently. Liam gave a me a look and smirked. "The next person, to walk in you have to ask out." I almost fell out my chair "What the fuck. I don't wanna do that." "Then you can just do my work for 3 months.." I ran my hand through my hair "Fine." I would ask out the person and they should either ignore me, or be weirded out. If some stranger ask you out you'd be weirded out right? I know I would.
Hopefully it would be someone I knew. I got up and waited and the door opened and in walked a girl. My heart stopped for a second and i swear to god I thought I would die. She was a little shorter than me, with short black curls with curly smoothed little edges. Wearing a black long sleeve shirt, with gray shorts that reached right before her knees, under the shorts she had ripped fishnets and wore black sneakers. She had plump..soft kissable lips. Oh fuck what's wrong with me. I had been staring at for about five minutes and she was looking back at me with these large brown eyes. "Hello?" I snapped back and heard her speak to me. She had such a soft voice..fuck. "Uh..we should..out I mean um go out not now but..later..us.." I couldn't process anything she looked at me with surprised look. "Like a date..?" *Before I could apologize or come out that this had just been a stupid idea of a prank, she smiled and handed me apiece of paper with a number on it. "Sure..just text me" She waved goodbye and left me there still processing what the fuck just happened.

I am so fucked

I went back to the table clutching the paper and slumped down into my seat and slammed my head down on the table. "Dude what the hell just went down.." I lifted my head up "I just asked out the person who came in, I choked and now I have her number... "why didn't you tell her you were kidding?" Austin asked "SHE SAID YES..I didn't expect that. I didn't know what to fucking do...." Liam was laughing his ass off "I can take her off your hands if you want~" I glared at him "Whoa calm down..well anyway what are you gonna do?" He asked "I'll let her know the truth when I text her then that'll be the end of that." Austin gave me a weird look "have fun"
