A Day With Xavier (I Hope I Don't Regret This).

Start from the beginning

"Is that my favourite granddaughter?" I heard Gramps' voice in a distance.

"Albert, you only have one granddaughter," Grammy said as I saw her push dad from the camera and come sit besides mom.
"Ver, did you give Austin the cookies?" she asked.

"And the letter too!" Dad yelled from the background.

"Yes I did guys," I said. "By the way, I forgot to ask you all. How did you guys allow me to come to Hawaii anyway?! It's the farthest I have ever gone with my friends."

"You have a good lot as your friends honey, that's why," said mom with a smile.

"Yeah, and we know they'd take good care of you," dad said as he came and stood behind mom and grammy. Gramps came and stood besides him.

"Also because you have two very loving and sweet boys with you," Grammy said. "We figured that your boyfriend and best friend will always be there by your side and help you through anything so they were our safe bet."

I looked up to see Xavier give me a small smile at what my grandmother said. I smiled back. She was correct, after all.

"Who are you smiling at?" mom asked.

"Just Xavier," I said nonchalantly.

"My bro is there?!" gramps yelled. "Xav! Brother, dude, my man! My man brother dude!! Come tell us hi!"

Xavier chuckled as he came and sat besides me on the bed. He put an arm around the headboard behind me to fit into the screen as he said with a smile, "Hey there, sir."

"Sir?" gramps scoffed. "That word is for old people. Call me bro."

"Sure.....bro," Xavier said awkwardly.

"How are you son?" dad asked him. "Our daughter giving you a hard time?"

His breath fanned on my face due to his close proximity as he laughed and said, "I'm good, Mr. Silverstone, thank you. And your daughter giving me a hard time has become a norm now."

"Hey!" I whined as I punched him on the shoulder.

"Austin is still sleeping?" gramps asked.

"Yupidy yup yup! He's wasted."

For some reason my family didn't really mind my friends drinking. According to them, drinking once in a while isn't all that bad if you aren't an addict. 18, in their eyes, is an okay age.

"Figures," dad said with a grin.

"Speaking of getting wasted," gramps said, "Xavier, do you know some place in town where I can get some weed or coke?"

Xavier had his mouth wide open in shock, still not used to my family's antics.
"Albert! How can you ask your granddaughter's boyfriend for drugs?!" Grammy yelled at him as she hit him on the head.

"But I was only joking, Lily. I wanted to test the boy," he said with a frown. Gramps then tried to give Xavier a subtle wink and he made the 'We'll talk about it on call' sign.

"All of us saw that, Albert," grammy said with a sigh as she slapped her hand to her forehead.

"Saw what?" he said and he tried winking at Xav again. I burst out into laughter as I saw Xavier squirm in his seat. "Also. Bros. If you guys decide to have sex forget to use a condom!" Gramps continued.

My laughter died down as I too looked at my grandfather in shock.

"Dad!" said mom.

"Albert, you need to tell them to use one not to forget one!" Grammy said.
