Bike riding was one of George's favorite activities, and along the coastline of Monaco was beautiful.
They stopped along the beach to watch the sunset. There were not many people around so it was just them in the cool night air.
"It's so pretty." George sighed, staring out at the horizon line.
"Yeah.. yeah it is." Alex said looking only at George. Alex placed a hand in his pocket fumbling around with a small box.. nerves rising.
"This had been a great birthday.. thank you." George smiled, placing a kiss on Alex's cheek.
"It's been wonderful, I love you." Alex gasped sucking in his breath.. this was it.. he was going to do it
George kept walking along not realizing Alex hadn't followed him. "Alex-?"
As George turned around he saw Alex down on one knees.. Alex pulled a box out of his pocket and opened it, inside sat a beautiful silver band. "George William Russell... I love you more than anything, these last two years I've spent with you have been the best of my life and I can't imagine living without you.. so will you marry me?"
"Yes." George yelled his hands covering his mouth in shock. Alex carefully placed the ring on his left ring finger before George jumped into his arms crying..
