it's almost a year now
& whatever is in the air,
reminds me of you,
the songs we sang together,
i listen to alone now.
its almost a year now,
and i miss what i thought you were.
i thought you were changing,
but you were only breaking,
this heart of mine,
and my hopes of ever
trusting someone again.
i have never had my walls built this high,
never given up and never failed to try
but see - you;
you broke me so much,
you grabbed my heart and pierced it,
you drained the love and warmth
and all i have now is a cold heart,
empty and numb.
