Ere we fall asunder, ere we cease our prayers

That which we will fear, Those who we hold dear

Sans the inspiration, sans the wealth of nations,

Under stars aligning supernovas cease their glow

Poignancy, I'm an addict. Smile for me while you cry!

Puppy Dogs grow sick, and sputter, and die

I'm an oracle, a meteorite. (Or was it a meteor ?)

Poignancy, it excites me. Weep for me on the graves of fallen soldiers.

The charlatan spoke," I have heard from God up High!"

"Of gold and silver, and life and death."

"Of Bronze and Copper, and how they fall!"

The hounds will lick ever-flowing charlatan blood.

I am a wound concealed, a fruit fly's lament

Lest we become the stinging wasps.

Festering, pestering, festering still.

Bleeding, feeding, leeching, ill.

The firmaments open, see the angels dance!

I cursed myself and praised the Lord, gazing at the Blue.

The Dane had said it best: The Knight must take the Leap of Faith!

But oh, I tremble, oh I fear! I quake in the loneliness of being One.

Who is to understand the plight of the thinkers?

Nay, it is not I! What am I to say?

I am but One, among a universe of Ones.

Angst, nothing but angst, and maybe Love?

Maybe Love, before the skies fall asunder?

Perhaps Love precedes Death's skeletal, icy claws?

The Licht looks on in envy of the fair maiden and her youth

Angst in death, angst in life, angst in love, angst in defeat.

Noble are they, who inquire and forget.

The Truth will leave you be.

Tragic are they, victims of ennui.

Doubloons are doubloons; yet still ye regret.

We all fall Asunder, all in due time.

Like my rhythm, like my rhyme,

From ashes to ashes

But you were there.
