Sinubukang ma-distract ni Rose sa iniiisip niya at binanggit na lamang sa kanyang ka-partner ang tungkol sa project. For some reason, nawala ang kaba niyang kasusapin si Elliot. With his tone na kalmado lang, it seems that in her fair judgement, mukha namang approachable ang kaklase niya.

“Where do you wanna document ba? Anywhere is good to me.” tanong ni Elliot. Napangiti na lang si Rose sa ka-partner niya at inumpisahan na niyang i-elaborate ang kanina pa niyang plina-plano sa isip niya.

“So we’ll narrow it down to the National Museum, Luneta Park, and Intramuros. How about the Manila City Hall and UST?” he queried. For half an hour, ang dami nang napag-usapan ni Rose at Elliot.

Rose was really ecstatic ng pumayag si Elliot na puntahan mismo ang mga lugar na pinag-uusapan nila para sa project, she was really ready na ma-reject ang idea niya dahil extra effort talaga ang gusto niyang gawin para sa project.

They even agreed to make postcards para sa kanilang creative output instead of a simple look book for their project. Although they both wanted to make an elaborate book discussing the historic places ay gusto rin nilang mag-produce ng postcards talaga. Sa isa’t kalahating oras, ang daming bagay na ang napagkasunduan nilang dalawa.
Elliot is really something else.

“Oh for sure we’ll add those sa postcard collection natin.” Rose wrote Manila City hall and UST on her notes and admired the ideas they were putting together. She would really do anything for wandering around, kakaibang excitement talaga ang nararamdaman niya.

“Gusto mo ba ng outside Manila trip? Like sa Vigan? Calle Crisologo lang nasa isip ko kanina pa, good thing talaga you’re my partner Rose.”

She couldn’t hide her grin sa compliment ni Elliot, she’s really lucky to have him as her partner. “We could, kung may time tayo, but we should just add that to plan Z if ever maubusan tayo ng mga pupuntahan na malapit lang.”

“How about baguio? The hanging coffins and I just really wanna be there.” Medyo nagulat si Rose sa pag-buntong hininga nito ng sinabi niya. He looked so lonely and deprived that he’s here somehow. May ganoong vibe na nararamdaman si Rose sa partner niya.

Is there a possibility that Elliot is just like her? A wanderer.

Sophomore Year

For the past year Elliot and Rose developed this slowly blossoming friendship, they were careful enough not to be noticed by their friends. But they spent most of their time together and went around enjoying the company of each other.

Hindi interesado si Rosetta sa pagkakaroon ng crush, but here she is harboring a big fat crush on her first year History partner turned friend- Elliot. Sino ba namang hindi magkakaroon ng pag-hanga sa isang lalaking kapareho niya ng interes at kasundo niya halos sa lahat ng bagay, it would be a blasphemy to ignore what a great catch Elliot is.

And she noticed her cousin Candice was also very active pagdating sa pagkakaroon ng crush, she even has pursuers kahit noong first year pa lang sila. But her cousin was heavily guarded by her older brothers and even her twin, kaya hanggang patagong ligaw pa nga ang mga lalaking may gusto sa kanya.

Samantalang siya, she’s just going on with her life as it is. At masaya sa buhay crush, lalo na’t napaka-caring nito at parati siyang inaayang pumunta kung saan-saan para mag-explore sa Manila.

Sayang nga lang noong freshman sila, hindi sila nakapunta sa Calle Crisologo dahil parehas silang may sari-sariling pupuntahan sa tuwing may mahaba silang bakasyon. Pero that doesn’t mean they didn’t had a blast sa mga historical places na pinuntahan nila.
