Chapter 5

"Hey, how are u?"
Nicole was nervous and angry. Why did he write her again?
"Fine. Thanks."
Nicole replied. She felt so insecure so that she asked him why he broke up a second time. He told her that he has had no time for her and that he won't have time for her because of his A-Levels. She was pissed of. Better said, hurt.
" You told me we could build up our relationship together but you lied again, as every time when you talk to me. Go away and never try to write me a text message again. "
After she has sent the text message he replied her. He told her to not be so childish. Tears in her eyes. She wasn't childish, she was just hurt. Hurt by the person she thought she could be together with forever. She stood up, threw her mobile phone into her bag and jumped into the pool while the sun was shining so magical on her brown colored body. She was so beautiful but so broken. That day Nicky promised herself not to write him again and to get suddenly happy. She has made a friend in the hotel. A girl from Germany, too. Angeline was a blonde girl who finished school before the summer holidays. She was a great friend for Nicky because they had the chance to talk a lot about boys and ex boyfriends. Nicole felt comfortable with Angeline because she helped her to forget the bad things in her holidays. The girls hung out every day at the pool and played cards and drank cocktails on the pool bar. Nicole was forgetting Thomas for a while. Her biggest problem was the fear she always had. Sometimes she was so scared to lose people around her that she didn't even take care of herself and her happiness. The only one who cared the most was Drake. Yeah, he was something special. When Nicole was in a bad mood he was always there for her: kissed her forehead, hugged her, he just loved her for what she was. She was perfect for him, that's what he said. He loved the jokes they made, the kisses they shared, the smiles they had upon their face and most of all he loved to share time with her because nobody of them had to act like someone else. Because it was real. Maybe there was trouble but people forget what it means to have a person next to you who takes more care of you than yourself. Nicole had never had such an experience so she ran after Thomas all the time.

Two weeks later.
"Nicole, have you packed all your things?" - "Yes, I got everything. "
Her mom went to the bus driver to ask for some help. Nicole sat into the bus and listened to music, all way until the plane landed in Germany. Her mind was free but she was sad. The truth was that she was scared of going to Croatia. "Would Drake take distance? Would he ever talk to me again? "
Nicole couldn't stop thinking about it. She knew that she did something terribly wrong. She left Drake for Thomas. She thought he loved her. She was wrong.
