Sooyoung could tell from the way her name was scrawled in red ink where the rest of the invitation was printed in Times New Roman that lots of people were invited. Was she even really wanted there? Or had her invite just been a polite formality? would she know anyone there? Mr. Jang was a hedge fund manager. If the brunch was mostly his colleagues, then every one would be older and wealthier than she was. She probably wouldn't know anyone. However a party full of rich people may be a good time to make connections. Maybe she could get a new job off some corporate creep wanting a new secretary... She'd also get to talk to Mrs. Jang if she attended. In that case she'd attend. There seemed to be more pros than cons and she hadn't been to a proper social gathering in a couple months.
