LanternWings are the tribe of the forest, rarely seen by other tribes. They are extremely passionate about writing and can produce amazing stories.

Shortened version:

Description: black with metallic green or blue sheens to them, seven tails, each tail tipped with a glowing honey-coloured diamond

Abilities: can release a silvery mist from their tail tips that calms dragons down and eventually puts them to sleep, amazing writers, very creative, can move easily in thick undergrowth

Queen: Queen Torch

Allies: none, but often trade books with the SongWings, SteelWings and RaptorWings

Lengthened version:

Name: LanternWings

Queen: Queen Torch

Scale colour: silvery black with a metallic sheen to it, commonly blue or green, uncommonly purple, bronze, gold or silver

Eye colour: glowing fiery gold

Other appearance details: they have seven very long and flexible and surprisingly strong tails each tipped with a glowing diamond shaped golden crystal that is warm to the touch, their scales however are cool, they have glowing, syrupy, honey-coloured blood that instead of clotting turns into the same crystal substance as the tail tips, with the same effects

Abilities: can release a silvery misty substance from their tail tips that calms dragons down until, if they smell it for long enough they fall asleep, can light the way with their tails metal-like horns, spikes and claws

Special abilities: some can breath fire that is only warm like the tail tips but is as bright as normal fire and burns for ages and ages and ages due to their minimal heat

Weaknesses: can't camouflage well due to their glowing crystals, if dragons hold their breath they won't get infected by the tail mist

Kingdom name: The Forest of Light

Kingdom location: a quite thick, almost fantasy-like forest full of trees with blue-green curly branches that would be hard for any dragon other than LanternWings to get through, some say that it's enchanted to look like that and/or it was enchanted to never be hurt, but with LanternWings you can never tell

Palaces/buildings: their palace is a giant mess of trees with branches plaited for privacy, the normal dragon houses are like that but only one tree, they all contain at least one lantern with LanternWing fire

Other kingdom details: the branches are flexible and quite thin, there are lots of lanterns and thin mist on the ground, there are signs saying street names and pointing directions to places like the palace or the library or the tribal gathering place (another plaited branch place, just with no walls)

Relationships with other tribes: they don't think much of them, they're often too absorbed in their own world

Attitude towards dragons with special abilities: they're seen as tools, because they can create fire that doesn't burn down their forest, and often live prestigious lives that involve living in a special area of the palace and flying around everywhere lighting everyone's lanterns

Common personality traits: tend to walk around with their heads in the clouds, usually have a brilliant talent for writing and are very creative and into writing and dreaming and all of that, don't really like being stuck in earthly problems, scrollworms/bookworms, like the idea of being the hero but very rarely are because they're not very brave

Egg appearance: the same colour as the dragonet's scales

Hatcheries/where they're kept: if they're going to be a fire breather, they're locked in very secure chests until they're about to hatch, and when they're about to hatch they're placed on tall branch spires with a small platform and are born surrounded by fire and watched by lots of the important members of the tribe, otherwise they can be locked in hatcheries high up in trees in a very secure box of plaited branches or kept in nests in the parent's houses

Dragonets: go to school where they mainly learn writing skills, but also how to move in the trees, spying on other tribes (for the ones who want it) and basic life skills such as plaiting branches and reading signs and hunting

Culture: they love fantasy and books and creativity they learn their history from ancient scroll-writers and base their history on that, so it tends to be a little lop-sided (like they believe that their first queen was queen Fantasy who created the whole tribe by her amazing creative mind and had a loyal army of fireflies that brought light to their seven tails)

History: they've lived in the forest of light as long as anyone can remember, and no one knows much about the past other than the stuff they learn from the ancient scrolls

Naming: they're named after sources of light (like Candle or Lamp), book/scroll related words (like Myth or Tale) or the flora and fauna of the forest (like Vine or Firefly)
