The Master of Lightning turned off his phone and stuffed it back into his pocket. He stalled, biting his nails. This would've been so much easier if one of his teammates - preferably Nya - was with him right now. He had presented this suggestion to the others but they refused and somehow convinced him to go alone. They said that he needed time alone with his biological father and someone else lounging around won't be helpful.
After the entire incident with Nadakhan (a secret he and Nya weren't ready to disclose), Jay wondered that him being the actual son of the world famous Cliff Gordon was just a trick performed by the pirate djinn in order to make Jay reach his last wish.
That thought was a relief because now he was sure that the two people he called his "parents" were not adoptive but the real deal - that is until he asked them about it. When his last wish had returned everything back to normal, he visited the junkyard and was welcomed the way he was always welcomed: like the one and only, beloved son of Ed and Edna Walker.
