I heard the song "When You Say You Love Me" by Josh Groban in 2006 and conceived the "raw" details of Frances and Karen's story right at that moment.
As a teenager who had no idea how to make sense out of her intuitive thoughts, it took me years in polishing the story. Been into cycles of revising, editing, trashing, then putting its pieces again.
You work hard and you finnish the story and you cry, kase hindi naman pala iyon totoo---kathang isip la'ang.
Writing is the loneliest path I guess. But nevertheless my comfortest yet risky spot.
