Our Fate (Ichigo x Byakuya)

A little closer

Sorry it took me so long to update this story I just wasn't in the right mental state but I'm ok now so on with the story. I suggest going back and rereading the first chapter.

Recap*
"There's someone in the soul society plotting something big but I can't give you any details here or now but keep Ichigo safe." She said before leaving and giving me a playful wink. I rolled my eyes and try to figure out what she meant by "keep Ichigo safe" surly she knows he's capable of doing that.

Byakuya pov*

As I sit in confusion trying to comprehend what the she-cat meant I didn't notice Ichigo walking in.

Third person pov*

"Hay, Byakuya?" A wet and shirtless Ichigo asked and Byakuya looked up in shock. "I-ichigo what happened?" Byakuya asked in surprise as his face started to heat up.

Byakuya pov*

As I faced Ichigo I could feel my face heat up. His face and hair were wet and as my eyes started to wonder down Kurosaki's chest, I could see all of his pervious battle scars as they drip with water. He has a muscular build and you can tell he works hard. As I look at his abs covered in water my gaze begins to shifts lower I can feel my face burning up and I get a slight nosebleed. "Byakuya?" Ichigo asked sounding worried. I quickly whipped my nose and pulled myself together. "What happened to you Kurosaki?" I asked now looking at the dripping wet Zanpakto and kimono in Ichigo's hand. "Uuuhhhhm. Well you see, I couldn't figure out how to work your sink so after awhile I got upset and swung my sword at it and it broke." Ichigo explained with the face of a child who knows that they are in trouble. I let out a sigh and try not to laugh. "Honestly this is the first time I've realized that I could get wet in my soul reaper form." Ichigo said. "Did you think it was magic?" I asked genuinely interested. "Well kinda. I mean whenever my clothes get damaged they fix themselves." Ichigo replied sounding very confused. "I'll explain how it works later but for now changed into this." I said as I handed Ichigo a spare kimono I had. "We're about the same size so this should fit." I say as Ichigo grabs it. "Thanks." Ichigo said as he walked out to go change. I returned to my desk and saw a folded up piece of paper that wasn't there before.

Tomorrow meet me at Urahara's shop if you want to know what's going on. See ya little byakuya!

"That she-cat." I rolled my eyes in irritation as I realized I'd not only have to talk to her but Urahara as well.

Ichigo pov*

I was in panic and my brain couldn't function right. I don't know what this feeling is. Whenever I'm around him my heart hurts, I feel sick to my stomach, and it's hard to talk to him. I'm not sure if I hate him and if this feeling is hatred then why is it so different from anyone else I've hated. I tried to steady my heart beat and decided to change. Surprisingly it fit well. We really were about the same size. I looked at the soaking wet bandages on my zanpakto and sighed before walking back to Byakuya's office. I stop at the door when I overhear Byakuya talking with whom I assumed was either Rukia or Renji. "What do you mean Ichigo won't be able to return to his body anytime soon?" Byakuya asked. I tried to make out the words of the person on the other line but all I could hear was mumbling. "I'm heading to the world of the living tomorrow anyway so I'll bring him along." Byakuya said sounding very confused. "Don't worry I won't tell Ichi-" Byakuya said before I decided to inter the room acting like I didn't hear anything. "Thanks for the clothes Byakuya they fit great." I say with a smile on my face. "Ichigo tomorrow we will go to the world of the living. So for tonight you can stay in my guest room." Byakuya said before looking away. I could tell that there was something he didn't want me to know so I didn't ask. Byakuya seemed really distracted. He paced back and forth around his office before he got another phone call but this time it was from Shunsui. "Hay Byakuya me and a few of the other captains are going for a drink right now. Are you in?" I heard him say over the phone. "Sure." Byakuya said in reply before hanging up. I didn't expect him to agree but he did. "I'm going out but one of my squad members will show you to your room." He said tiredly before leaving.

Third person pov*

As night befell the soul society Byakuya had left and one of his squad members showed Ichigo to a guest room. "Captain Byakuya said you must not leave our barracks and if anything shall happen before he returns you are not to leave this room. We'll deal with it. Goodnight." Byakuya's third seat said before leaving. Ichigo groaned in complaint. "Why is no one letting me do anything lately?" Ichigo complained. "There's no way in hell I'm staying in here all night." Ichigo said as he grabbed his zanpakto and opened the door only to be met with two people from Byakuya's squad. "We have orders to make sure you don't leave." They say in unison. Ichigo hits them in the neck with the back of his sword knocking them out and then apologizing for it. He uses flash step to reach the end of the squad 6 barracks before he was stopped by a strange masked man. "Who the hell are you?" Ichigo asked. "Who me? Oh I'm Kon's friend!" The masked man replied. "You're the one who attacked my body! What do you want from me!?" Ichigo asked sounding very pissed. "I just want to play a game with you and Byakuya as the main pieces." The man replied with a slight chuckle. "Whose to stop me from killing you right now?" Ichigo asked challenging the masked man. The masked man ignored the question. "Ichigo, tell me how your flashbacks have been doing?" The masked man said in a playful tone. As he said that Ichigo's spirit pressure started to increase as if on cue. Ichigo dropped to the floor with his hands on his head screaming out in pain. The masked man walked up to Ichigo while giggling as he placed a hand on his head then he disappeared. Ichigo screamed out in pain before he blacked out.

With Byakuya*

When Ichigo's spirit pressure suddenly increased Byakuya was the first to notice. Captain Shunsui was about to say something but Byakuya flash stepped away before he had the chance. When Byakuya reached Ichigo passed out on the ground he picked him up and carried him back to his room.

Ichigo's pov*

As I slowly regain consciousness I open my eyes slightly and was met with the sight of Byakuya. "Oh Ichigo, when will you stop being so reckless. You had me worried." I heard Byakuya say. I released what he said and then that I was being carried but I felt too drained to fight it or be embarrassed so I just fell asleep in the comfort of Byakuya's arms.
