THURSDAY AUGUST 20th. North Carolina.
Savannas pov
"Savanna, you better be ready to go in 10 minutes!"
I rolled my eyes as my mom yelled through my door. I was finishing up putting my hair in a slick back bun, admiring my outfit for the day. It was a simple jumper with a turtle neck under it, and my air force ones. I grabbed my necessities for school, looked at myself in the mirror one more time and started going downstairs.
I walked over to the island in the kitchen and grabbed my car keys.
"Have a good first day of senior year babe. We love You!" My mom said smiling at me.
I gave my parents a slight smile and walked out the door. My parents were very respected in the church, and in our community so it was important to them that I kept up a good image. Being the last child in the house, my brother a D1 basketball player, and my sister in Law school I had a lot of pressure on me.
I hopped in my car, plugged my phone into the aux and started on my way to school. I pulled into the school parking lot and immediately saw my friends in the usual spot. I got out the car and walked up to them.
"Are you guys going to Keys party on Friday?" Gianna asked.
"Duh we all are! Savanna that means you to. Im tired of you never coming out with us! It'll be fun!" Kaylie said to me.
My friend group consisted of Gianna, and Kaylie being my closest friends, and then Jordyn, Davine and Lex. We've all been friends since middle school, but I drifted closer to Gianna and Kaylie.
"You know how my parents are Kay." I said shrugging, knowing I've never been to a party before and they weren't going to let me now.
"That's why we're having a girls night at my house!" Kaylie said smirking.
I rolled my eyes are the bell rung and went on my way to my first class.
"Hey Sav" Key said walking up to me.
"Hey Markeyvius" I said smiling.
"Girl what I tell you about calling me my government. " He said mugging me as we walked.
"You better be comin to my party tomorrow. Don't try to be square and say your parents won't let you or Imma beat ya ass." He said pulling my chair out for me.
"Quit playing with me. You know you'd never"
Me and key had been best friends since diapers. He's always been a big brother figure to me and made sure I was ite as I did him.
"Forreal girl you never get out. I need you to come out this one time. "
I sighed. "Ill try my best Key." And he smiled.
