Eri's Adventures

Chapter 1

{Sorry if this story isn't perfect! English isn't my native language and I only watched the anime! I just thought about what Eri would do when she attends Yuei and felt the urge to write down my thoughts.

𝘍𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬

It was the last day of middle school as i sat down right between Koda and Katsuma. It's been 9 years since I've been saved from Overhaul by Deku and Lemillion. Since this day I've lived at Lemillion's and my identity was kept secret. At least no one should try to blackmail Lemillion and Deku nor kidnap me because of my special ability.

So except Koda and Katsuma who were also close to Deku, all of my classmates thought I had no ability at all. I still wasn't sure if this "special ability" of mine was a curse or a blessing...

As our teacher continued explaining everything about quadric functions, Katsuma leaned carefully over to me and asked: "Eri are you alright?" Was I alright? I hadn't slept the last night, simply because I had thought about the question we were asked the day before. What do y'all wanna be when you grow up? It took me hours to decide but now I was sure.

"Yes, I just couldn't sleep last night...", I whispered back. I really had to look awful since he asked. I didn't want the teacher to notice. Even he wasn't informed about what I was able to do. This wasn't necessary - of course. I could control my quirk really well by now all thanks to the training I had with Lemillion.

The first trick I learned was exactly 2 months after the beginning of the training. This was the 61st time we had practiced together. Everytime it got dangerous, Togata-senpai could easily slip away which allowed us to practice freely. I could already stop the "rewind" and shift between an application range of 50%-100%. This meant I could rewind the body I touched 1day per second up to 1year per second.

The speed of rewinding had obviously improved since the defeat of Overhaul and the "accident" with his arms. Just as my body grew my quirk grew as well. I could hide my horn by shrinking it in purpose and covering it up with my long hair, so no one would notice. This was the trick i had learned ; shrinking this horn of mine.

I discovered the trick before I came to school. I knew Katsuma and Koda even before I transferred to their school. Deku always invited them over and we spent a lot of time together and eventually became great friends. Then, as I could successfully hide my quirk, I was finally allowed to visit a public school.

"I am sorry that you couldn't sleep well. Was it a certain thing that kept you awake?" Katsuma was a great friend. He always knew when something was wrong - or in the contrary - right. "Yea. I thought about what I want to be when I grow up!" I smiled as i knew I could trust him. "Woah! What is it?", Katsuma said with excitement in his eyes.

Of course he wanted to know as I couldn't decide since we first talked about it. Koda said he wanted to go to the support department of the Yuei. Well this wasn't surprising since his parents were killed for being heroes. Katsuma had decided to go to hero department of the Yuei. He just couldn't help being the biggest fan if heroes i ever knew. "I want to become a hero!"

Katsuma's mouth opened and he looked at me like I had lost my mind. "Whaa-?",he started before noticing he was way too loud. "Shimano-kun would you like to inform us too what it is that surprises you so much?" Oh no. The teacher turned around and glared at me and Katsuma. Katsuma looked at me with a big question in his eyes. Well it didn't matter anymore so i nodded.

"I have decided what i want to become!", I said proudly before standing up. The teacher raised an eyebrow. " I am really sorry for disturbing your class, it won't happen again." He looked confused since this was the first time I had spoken up. I was a good student even though I didn't like to speak in front of the class. Well normally...

"Well Togata-san, since this is the first time you disturbed this lesson instead of distributing I hope you will remain silent in the future. But before you sit down do you mind telling us what you want to become? I am sure you got us all curious now." "Well... I will pass the entrance exam of the Yuei- Highschool and become a hero!"

The teacher smiled while the others in the class except Koda and Katsuma started giggling. "This will be a tough task for someone who doesn't possess any quirk." "We'll see", I replied. I didn't care about them laughing at all. Me and my friends were the only one that knew this would be a piece of cake for me.

Did she just say that? I was truly surprised that Eri finally spoke up like this in front of the teacher. My eyes followed her sitting down while a grin formed on my face. That's one of my friends you losers! "It looks like we're all
attending the Yuei together",I said to Katsuma who looked just as shocked as I must've looked.

"I really hope so!", he smiled back with this wholesome as ever look on his face. He was way too cute sometimes.

𝘓𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘩

"Eri are you serious about attending Yuei?", Katsuma asked carefully. It was a really warm spring day and the sun warmed my face as i reached on to point at a really funny-shaped cloud. "Sure! Do y'all see this cloud over there? It looks a little bit like Deku's face when he was too clumsy and hurt his toe again by bumping at the table. We all bursted into some laughter since this happened way to often.

"But seriously Eri",Koda said while poking me: "ARE you sure you wanna do this? Why so suddenly?" "Well I suppose I realized I always wanted to be like Deku and Lemillion. Saving people who had to go through the same as I did." Suddenly we all remained silent. It was one of those silences that feels really awkward.
"That's what defines being a good heroes isn't it?", Katsuma said before we all left for the next history lesson.
