Mike refused to make eye contact with Jeremy, as de didn't want to show the slight colour rising on his cheeks.
~~
The two walked home in a comfortable silence, but almost instantaneously at their arrival back, Mike quickly left once again.
"Are you sure there's nothing you need while I'm out?" Mike asked again, as he made his way toward the front door. Jeremy shook his head, as he was concentrated on TV that was currently in front of him.
"Alright...I'll be around fifteen minutes. Later Jere'." Mike said, opening and closing the door behind him.
Jeremy's watched the TV for a few more minutes before he felt a slight pain in his head. A minute later, His head was suddenly pounding, as he held it with his hands. (Jeremy don't stutter when he's thinking to himself c:) "Damn, this headache is killing me. Mike must have some painkillers in his medicine cupboard at least." He thought as he walked to the bathroom.
He found some and had two, but his head only worsened. He groaned as he walked back to the couch. He glanced at the clock which indicated its only been five minutes since Mike had left. "Hopefully he'll be able to help me when he gets back ho-"
He yelled in pain, as his head suddenly became even worse.
"Jeremy."
He jumped back as he heard his name in a muffled tone. "W-Who's that?" He asked, but there was no reply. "What the hell...? I must be seriously getting sick."
He laid back down on the couch with his hands behind his head, attempting to ease the pain radiating off of it. His eyes felt heavy has he slowly closed them, attempting in some way to sleep in his state.
"Jeremy run now please..."
He bolted straight up, hearing the muffled voice again. "This is just getting ridiculous now..." he muttered to himself. He heard a soft chuckle echo across the apartment, sending shivers down his spine. He was almost becoming scared at this, he must finally be cracking under the pressure of everything.
He heard a loud crash from outside the window, and he quickly walked over to investigate. "Just one of the perks of being on the bottom floor here I guess..."
He looked outside and saw nothing but a few crash cans had been knocked over. He shrugged it off and walked to the couch, realising how much his headache had settled down from before.
But that feeling quickly slipped away.
He almost screamed at the pain going through his brain as he dropped to the floor, clutching it.
"You shouldn't have walked out Jeremy, there was so much hope for you still. You had so much to give to the world, and you walked away...come back Jeremy."
Not him. Oh please God, anything but him.
"This pain will all go away Jeremy. Just come back. You have so much business still...to deal with me~"
He yelled out in pain. He felt as if the voice was screaming inside his head, and the world around him was slowly going out of focus.
"Stop this...please...this pain is going to kill me."
The voice chuckled once again.
"Not until you agree to come ba-"
"Shit! Jeremy! I heard you yelling outside!" He heard Mike's voice say to him, as he couldn't make out his face. He was surely going to pass out at any second.
