Part three, here we go. (Also, I'm going though and editing this story over, as I was mostly worried about getting it out and didn't take that much time to revise.)

-------------------------------------

Bruno POV

"... and then there was this big furry thing running at me," He continued, relaying his memory, "and it got my leg. Then everything goes black."

He had taken a few minutes for him to calm down enough to tell me his memory, but now here we are, sitting at the table in our little kitchen while the sandy-haired boy animatedly told me the story, complete with wide eyes and waving hands.

"... and now here I am. Talking to you." He finished.

"Well," I began, and he perked up, "whatever that was that you remember must have been what bit you. Don't know about that light and hand though."

He nodded, giving me his full attention.

"You don't remember anything, so I think the first step here is to check you for any identification." I thought for a second. "You know, in retrospect, I really should have done that after I bandaged your leg."

He turned out his jacket pockets, giving up some spare change, lint, several birthday candles, a wallet, and a flip phone.

"A wallet!" I exclaimed, "let's check for an ID."

He opened it up and pulled out a card. At the top, in big black letters it read WOLF CREEK RECREATIONAL CENTER and below that, OFFICIAL MEMBER: CHRIS HOUSTON along with a picture of a sandy haired, hazel eyed boy.

"I guess my name is Chris." Chris muttered.

"Wolf Creek," I said, "that's the all the way on the other side of the forest. That's all the way across the lake, to. How did you get over here?"

Chris shrugged. "Maybe I went boating or something."

"Maybe-" I began, but was interrupted by the phone ringing. "I'll get it."

I picked up the phone. "Hi sweetie," my mom whispered, or she might have been talking normally, it was impossible to tell with our terrible reception. "I'm going to have to stay the night over here, they have me scheduled for an early meeting again tomorrow, and with the commute I wouldn't be able to make it on time. I'll try to get back as early as I can, and leftovers are in the fridge."

"Got it mom," I said, "have a good day." I hung up the phone. "Well," I said, turning around to look at Chris, "that was oddly convenient. Looks like we've got enough time to head over to Wolf Creek, figure out who you are, stay the night and come home."

"That was oddly convenient," Chris agreed, "but how will we cross the lake?"

"Easy," I answered, "we'll rent a rowboat. I think I have enough money to rent one for the weekend."

"Alright!" Chris said, giving my a toothy grin. (Actually, his canines were huge, and his teeth sharp.)

I was off put by the teeth for a moment,  but regained my composure and said, "I'll go up and pack. You can wait down here, okay?"

"Okay."

---Time Skip because I can------

We had been walking through the woods for a good half hour, checking the map and chatting. However, Chris had just asked me what the agriculture industry would be like if it was run by budgerigars, and then he had to explain what a budgerigar was, and the budgerigar farmers conversation had been so investing that we were now lost.

"Should we try back tracking?" Chris asked, peaking over my shoulder.

"We might just get more lost." I answered, "Plus, we could be at any of these three forks here, and if we're at this one, going back would land us over by poison ivy."

"Hmm," Chris hummed, pacing circles around me, "legend has it that moss grows on the north side of trees." He then leaped at one of the trees, inspecting the moss.

"It's true that moss tends to grow on that side in the northern  hemisphere," I muttered, "but I wouldn't depend too much on it."

"Do we have a compass?" Chris asked, turning away from the tree.

"Yeah..." I said, " I... think so? I'll check."

Chris POV 15 min later

"So...." I said, "why is there a fork stuck in the dirt?"

Bruno looked ahead of us to where the path split. "That's a sign that we're close to the docks. It won't be much longer."
