there it was your favorite time of the year.

October.

the way the yellow and orange crunchy fall leaves spread across the grey pavement evenly. the chilly but comforting weather that came with it. sweater weather... dressing up as your favorite person and seeing the bright smiles on kids faces. and your favorite reason...

volunteering at the haunted house that only came once a year.

you've been volunteering there for about 5 years now. it was definitely your favorite part of October... or was it seeing that mystery man come by the haunted house for the past 5 years.

you never knew his name. you barely knew anything about him. you did know how sweet he was though. he had a way with his words. the way his brown bouncy dry curls fell from his head. his hazel eyes were so pretty you could stare at them for weeks. his lips so plump and pink.

you have never had a real conversation with him though...

October 25
today was the day.

this year you were apart of the zombie paintball activity.

it was about 8pm and you were watching your favorite crime show villain brains while eating chinese takeout. you watched as you were snuggled deep into your white fluffy soft comforter. you didn't feel like getting up but you knew you couldn't wait to return back to the haunted house.

you got got up from the couch groaning loudly and set the takeout on the side on your table. you walked towards your closet and began to dress yourself.

you dressed up as a zombie and used all this SFX make up to cover your face. you chose the most worn out things you had in your closet. this hideous yet appealing green shirt and some flashy purple shiny pants. you glanced at yourself admiring the hard work you just put in this whole outfit. once you were satisfied you grabbed your keys and headed out your apartment....
