"The deciding vote goes to our newcomer, Abi!" JJ announced dramatically, like an auctioneer hyping up a bidding war.

Abi hesitated. On one hand, saying no was the safe option—she didn't want these guys to think she was a bitch within five minutes of meeting them. On the other hand, it sounded funny as hell.

"I'll pass," she said sheepishly, playing it safe.

"I'm doing it anyway," Lux shrugged, completely unbothered. "And just in time!" He grinned as two guys walked toward them, each holding a pint.

"Abi, hold these," he whispered, shoving the two tickets into her jacket pocket before she could protest.

"Where's mine?" Ethan asked, frowning as he noticed Lux was only holding one ticket.

"Fuck you!" Freezy laughed, nudging Harry. "Didn't even offer us a lift here, you stinker!"

"Do it. Do it now," Ethan whispered to Lux and Abi.

Lux put on his best serious face, stepping forward. "Listen, don't get mad, okay?" he said, hands raised in surrender. "We were running around the airport, and...I lost your boarding passes."

The two boys froze.

"You what?" Harry groaned, burying his face in his hands.

"You stinker!" Freezy cried, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

"You're dead," Harry shouted, launching himself at Lux, scrambling over seats in pursuit. Lux barely dodged him, cackling as he leaped away.

Abi suddenly felt evil. She had the tickets the entire time. Guilt gnawed at her, so she approached Harry, who was still kneeling on the floor, rubbing his temples.

"Here," she whispered, slipping him the ticket.

"No, you need that—" he started, shaking his head.

"Well, I'll just use three boarding passes, then. I'll have the row to myself, stretch my legs, maybe order some champagne..." Abi smirked.

Harry's eyes snapped up. "Wait—what?" He grabbed the tickets and glared at Lux, who was currently getting put in a headlock by Freezy. "You bastard! You really made this poor girl do your dirty work?"

"She agreed to it!" Lux wheezed.

Harry shot Abi a look, half amused, half betrayed. "Still a bastard."

"And by the way," Ethan piped up, "I had no part in this. I thought it wasn't fair. Until you lot never thought to get me a pint, you dickheads."

"Rahhh, Harry's face!" JJ howled with laughter.

"It scared me," Harry admitted, nodding at Abi in gratitude as he pocketed his ticket.

"I needed that on video," Lux cackled.

"You're in luck," Josh grinned, holding up his phone. "Got the whole thing on camera."

"You lot are evil," Talia shook her head.

"Funny, though," Simon chuckled.

The airport speakers crackled overhead. "Flight 342, please make your way to the gate."

"That's us," Vik said, standing up.

Abi settled into her seat on the plane. To her left was a complete stranger. To her right was Harry, who was now a semi-stranger after thirty minutes of chaotic introductions. She gripped the armrests as the plane rumbled down the runway.

"You okay?" Harry asked, finally glancing up from his phone.

"Not a fan of flying," Abi admitted, squeezing her eyes shut.

"Would you like anything to drink?" a flight attendant asked.

Abi politely shook her head, but Harry wasn't having it.

"Two vodkas and cokes, please. And two shot glasses." He smiled at the attendant before turning back to Abi.

"Why two?" Abi asked, confused.

"One's for you."

"But—"

"No buts. You look like you need a drink."

He poured them both a shot and raised his glass. "On three."

One.
Two.
Three!

Abi downed the shot without hesitation. Harry was right—she needed this. After all, she was officially on holiday.

She grinned. "By the way, I don't think I ever got your name."

"Harry," he smirked. "And I think you and I are going to get along just fine."
