A Change Of Heart (Rayla x Moonshadow Elf!Fem!reader)

Cold bath

All I felt was coldness. The snow buried me underneath a light snow blanket. I started digging my way out, which was quite fast, because I wasn't too deep in the snow.

I dug myself out half way. I looked around for others. Callum was sitting in the snow, his hair full of white snowflakes, he himself was a little dazed. Rayla was face first into snow, trying to get out. Ezran was on his back on the ground.

I got out of the snow pretty easily, but as soon as I stepped my foot on the ground I slipped and fell...very professional, (Y/N).

Rayla got out of the snow "where is that little toad thing?!" She yelled annoyed, her hair full with snow.

"Yes, I would also like to know that!" I said with a lot of annoyence and propped myself up on my elbows.

"He's there!" Ezran exclaimed and pointed at bait who was sitting on top of a not so big snow mountain. "He's fine, don't worry!"

"But not for long" me and Rayla said in sync and gave each other a mischievous smile. I quickly got up, and made my way to the frog, super annoyed and ready to end his whole life.

"Wait!" Callum said and we stopped in our track and turned to face him "where's the egg?" He said and we all started looking around worried a little, we are here because the egg after all.

"Found it!" Ezran yelled and I let out a sigh of relief "I'll go get it" ezran said and made his way to the egg.

The egg was on a frozen lake, we're lucky that we didn't fall on it ourselves, we don't know how thick the ice is. But still, even a small boy like Ezran should be careful as heck, he could easily brake through if he makes a wrong move.

"Got it!" He yelled to us but as he said that the ice underneath him started cracking. "Uh oh.." Ezran said.

"Uh oh indeed. Come to the shore now, slowly!" I yelled to him, he tried to take a step but the ice just cracked even more "ok, nevermind, were coming to you!" I yelled and Callum stepped on the ice. After a while, when he had stepped a few steps away from us, me and Rayla started moving on the ice as well.

Callum took the egg from Ezran, but he himself wasn't in a better situation, he couldn't move ether.

"What now?" Rayla asked him.

"I'm..I'm going to hand you the egg!" Callum said "I'm sorry I said all those things back there, we trust you, both of you. We're lucky to have you both as our friends" Callum said.

"Not really friends...but ok..." I murmured and Rayla poked me with her elbow "ow"

"There's still something that we need to tell you both.." Rayla started "you can't fully trust both of us yet"

"There's really no time for that now, Rayla" callum said

"Exactly, no time, just take the egg" I said, confused as of why do we need to tell them this.

"We need to do this, (y/n)" she looked at me, I stood there in silence for a second and then just nodded my head. She looked back at callum "You were asking about these" Rayla showed callum the binding on her wrist, and looked at me, I did the same "we have these because we swore an oath to kill prince Ezran, and as long as we haven't done that, these wristbands are just going to get tighter and tighter untill our hands fall off"

"But we both decided that we are ready to make that sacrifice" I said and Rayla turned to me a bit surprised that I was the one who said that.

Ezran nodded understandably. "Ok, so can you take the egg now?" Callum said reaching to give Rayla the egg, she started to reach, but then pulled away again.
