Evelynn: Ohhh, that’s perfect! I’m so good at storytelling. They look like they still go to school… of course I get the stereotypical characters. I guess I should find out to which school they go.

"Their Date went great. No major arguments and the Cafe they were sitting in had great food. Finally a waitress came to their table to take their orders.

“What would you two like to eat?”

“Two slices of your strawberry cake”

“Perfect for such a cute couple. May I ask your names?”

“That’s so sweet of you. I’m Helen and that’s Justin”

“Let me quickly get your food” In order to get the slices of cake the waitress quickly ran to the kitchen. With two plates she returned and put the ordered slices of cake on the table.

“Here you go. I hope you like the cake”

“We love the cake here. Actually we’re planning on getting one before school tomorrow”

“How lovely. Should I prepare one for tomorrow morning?”

“That would be nice. We’ll get it at 7:30 am.”

Evelynn: Oof, that’s one of the worst dialogues I’ve ever written. Well, at least now I have the information I need. I’ll just need to be here at 7:30 in the morning …

Evelynn is standing on the sidewalk with a phone in her hand.

Evelynn: Now how does this magic box work?? I can’t believe they prepared me for an apocalypse and not for this.

The phone starts ringing and Evelynn jumps.

Evelynn: It makes sounds

She looks at the phone.

Evelynn: Why does it say Clarissa? Oh no, I clicked something.

Clarissa: Evelynn?

Evelynn: It speaks!

Clarissa: Please don’t freak out

Evelynn: What is this wizardry?

Clarissa: They call it phones. Imagine it like a cursed ruby.

Evelynn: It’s magically connecting us? But I thought there was no magic in this world

Clarissa: It’s not magic, it’s technic. I’ll explain it to you once you’re home. Do you see that little button on the bottom of your screen? Press that and then the icon next to it. That will turn facecam on and flip the camera so I can see where you are. I don’t trust your google maps abilities.

Evelynn: I wouldn’t trust them either … Okay, I did what you said. What now?

Clarissa: You could hold the phone up so I can see some more than the pavement.

Evelynn: Oh, sorry.

Evelynn holds the phone up

Clarissa: Okay, I know where you are. Let me lead you home.

Evelynn is on the street and walks up to a house

Evelynn: Is that it?

Clarissa: Yes! Ring the doorbell!

Evelynn rings the doorbell and goes into the house

Evelynn enters the living room

Evelynn: I made it!

Clarissa: Congratulations

Evelynn: Where’s Al?

Clarissa: You know how the library gives us everything we need to live here? Well, they gave us gold bars and gems instead of money. Al is trying to sell them. He should be back soon.

Evelynn: And what have you been doing?

Clarissa: I studied phones. I’m an expert now

Evelynn: Please teach me how to use them. I’m clueless

Clarissa: That’s what I thought
