My knees weakened. Kinalampag ko ang barrier na kinapapalooban ko. I saw how the guy behind the mask thrusted his sword to my father, multiple times. A sword which is made of pure silver and mixed with a poison that will surely kill a vampire.

Nagpalabas ako ng apoy sa palad at pilit na binasag ang barrier. But nothing happened. The queen, my mother made sure that this is strong that no one can break it.

I saw how my father tried to catch his breath. The traitor attacked him from his back. My Mom who's busy fighting some vampires stiffened and touched her chest. Her face crumpled like she's in pain. And I know what's happening. Napaluhod siya ngunit pilit tumayo at nilapitan ang pwesto ng aking ama.

If I have my heart, I'm sure it is already broken into pieces, because of this. Kitang-kita ko kung paanong pinatay ang aking ama. While my mother is still fighting it. Sinaksak niya ang nakatalikod na maskarang lalaki. The man stiffened, inulit ito ni Ina habang naghihingalo siya.

After few seconds, sabay silang bumagsak. It is painful to watch how my mother tried her best to crawl towards my father.

Because my father already died, kahit hindi napuruhan si Ina ay ikamamatay na rin niya iyon. Lumapit siya kay ama at niyakap ito. She kissed his lips bago bumaling sa gawi namin. Mahigpit kong niyakap ang kapatid ko na walang malay sa aking dibdib.

Tears escaped from my eyes when I heard my Mom murmured, "I love you Austin Cali... take care of your sister. Take care of yourself, and take care of our kingdom. Mahal na mahal namin kayo."

Itinaas niya ang kamay at tahimik akong tumatangis habang pinapanood ang ginagawa niya.

At sa isang iglap, nasa palasyo na kaming muli...

Posted na 'to dati (The Vampire King's Memoir) kaso I deleted it. At ngayon, ibinalik ko at isinama rito sa anthology book. So, kung ano ang nabasa niyo noon, ito pa rin 'yon ngayon.
