A young girl, now president of the largest company in South Korea, created by her from scratch, meets the man that changes it all. Can he change her for the better until she's finally able to break free of her past and morph herself into what she sh...
I open my eyes to a beautiful ceiling, a chandelier hanging, just a little further. The sun hits the side of my face as I turn to the silky, soft, plushy white bedsheets to see my alarm, praying that there's a little bit more time until I have to get up. 7:54. That's enough. I close my eyes but I can't seem to be able to fall back asleep, something tugging at the back of my mind. What am I forgetting? I try to go through yesterday, remembering all the important details of yesterday's meeting. Then, it hits me.
"I'M LATE"
I get up as fast as I can to take a quick shower and dry my hair while I do my makeup. Defined eyebrows, perfect foundation and concealer, a little bit of a dark shade on the outer corner of my eyelids with a lighter, glittery one towards the inside of my eye and a well defined eyeliner along my natural eyelashes. I have a tall nose, so it's not necessary to fix it. A little glow on the upper side of my cheeks and a soft lip color. The perfect look; not too much, but just enough to make me stand out or at least, noticeable. I have to be.
After all, I am the president and founder of the largest company in Seoul, South Korea.
I rush to put on my work clothes; a simple white dressy shirt, black dressy pants, white and black checkered blazer and black pointed heels.

Time to head to work.
As I enter the company, I meet up with the person I trust the most, the one that knows my secrets and my problems and helped me get through them; Kim Namajoon, or RM, as I like to call him(much easier), AKA, my advisor and supervisor of all departments in my company.
"Y/N, about time you got here! The developer is on his way. He's a small start up, but from what we've seen so far, it's genius. Not only is it more effective, but its also a smaller size, expandable and-"
He's so exited, it's almost cute", I think to myself. But that's not exactly what caught my attention.
"He's a guy!? You know how I feel about interacting with other men I'm not familiar with RM! The only ones I'm confortable with are you and the guys! What am I going to do if I get too uncomfortable?! What am I going to say!? What am I-"
"Y/N Kang. As your advisor and trustworthy friend, I tell you that there is nothing to worry about. I will be right by your side if anything goes wrong. You know it was Jimin who recommended him and he has never led you wrong. I feel that we can trust Jimin's judgment and give this a chance. Besides, the new developer has extraordinary ideas that fit very well with yours. It will go well, I promise you this."
Park Jimin. My head of Company relations (introducing my company to others and starting a business relationship) and head of marketing. He's actually my little Mochi, my most adorable friend, sensitive and fierce all in one. He's the friend that understands each and ever one of us the most and the best; the best listener there ever will be. He introduced my company, KCO. to this new start-up made by a friend of his, JJK. So far, what I've seen from their products and its results, they are reliable and not only could they become popular in companies, but in homes as well, of course, only with the proper marketing and growth. That's what my company stands for.
I was very exited for this meeting with the new developer, until I heard it was a guy. I was unaware of his gender, but I have nothing against males. It's my experience with them. Ever since my last romantic interaction with them, I can't befriend any of them except the guys I know: Jin, the oldest of my friends, the most motherly like(after me), and the company cook. I gave him a restaurant for the company of one of the floors, all to himself; not only to have a job, but so that he can express himself freely. There's also Hoseok, or Hobi, my head of economic progress and the brightest smile in the world. There's nothing his smile can't cheer up; so much so that even if the plants were sad, Hobi would simply smile and they'd be happy. Next is Yoongi, or Suga, my head of security. I've never seen anyone handle guns and weapons as well as he does; he's the one that taught me to defend myself as a way of distracting me in my darkest moments. Even though he can be a little scary, only the ones closest to him know what a little kitten he really is. Lastly is Taehyung, or Tae, my absolute bestfriend since my school days and the closest thing I have to family, my brother. He's always been overprotective of me but, since my last attempt at finding love, he has the need to protect me from the evil deeds of guys who just want my body, my money, or my reputation. He also works at my company but overseas, introducing my company to foreign companies. I couldn't have built the empire I have today without them. They helped me get through some of the most horrible moments of my life, the darkest times I have ever witnessed and been victim of. My past is sealed with them.
All those years ago, before I became the person I am now. I was tormented by him. He is the devil's incarnate. A nightmare in my life. Even after all these years, I'm still broken somewhere from everything he did. Not just mentally and emotionally; physically too. If only I could turn back time...
As I'm lost in my thoughts, I don't notice that I'm already in my office, setting down my designer purse.
"Crap! What the hell Y/N! You're so out of it! Pull yourself toguether. You have an important day today that could mean a fascinating change for your company and stock markets." I thought to myself realizing my mind wasn't even in the right place.
As I'm still giving myself a pep talk, Chim-chim comes in.
"Mr. Park! About time you got here!" I told him, smiling.
"Y/N! You know I hate that!" He answers, whining but with a smile on his face. His eyes always have a special light to them, a special glimmer that never dies down. "Actually, I prefer the nickname you gave me...Anyways, are you ready for the developer?"
"You didn't tell me he was a guy! Chim-chim! I'm not prepared for this! I know I'm going to mess up! I know I m going to-"
"Y/N, you will be fine. If you want, I can get all the guys here to help you get through this, so you won't be alone." He interrupted me before I could make my self-esteem go lower than it already was. They knew that was one of my many flaws since the incident.
My many flaws. They were obviously all aware of them. But still. As much as it hurt, they shouldn't be what makes me, me. I changed. I'm different now. I have to do this.
"No. I'll meet him myself. Only me. Tell the rest to not worry. I need to do this. And please don't try to talk me out of it.
"Y/N. Are you serious!?" Jimin looked at me with wide eyes, surprised that I would make this choice. "I can't believe you're going to do this but either way, you're not getting rid of us so easily. We'll be right outside your door after he comes in in case we need to intervene. Fighting!"
I smiled and sighed when he told me that. I had to he brave. I organized my desk a little bit while Jimin was walking out. I need to be presentable and ready for anything.
As I finished, I could hear a knock outside my office doors. I stand up straight and get ready.
"Come in."
As soon as I say those words, the door opens and in comes the most handsome man I have ever seen.
