Why is it always a knife fight every time one of them opens their mouth near each other?
Kal'tsit thought, her eyebrows furrowed as she listened to two of her subordinates bickering against one another. Being honest, she was growing quite tired of it, since both had really different methods for their own endeavors... Which was pretty clear, considering he was both an infiltrator and assassin, preferring to take things from the back and improvise on the field.
She? Folinic? She was a whole other can of worms, one he (perhaps) despised quite a lot. After all, her job was to save people, despite that she was trained to be a combat medic as well.
When had this whole ordeal started? Since both were pretty young, in fact; Kal'tsit had taken Folinic under her wing a few years back in Ursus, and so far the Feline had proven to be a really hard worker, which made the Doctor herself pretty proud.
Him? His codename was "Geist", a young Perro who had quite a knack for any clothes with black color in them. Yes, Kal'tsit herself had to admit he was in fact quite edgy but... He got the job done, always, at least. Besides, it's not like anyone could blame him either... The Feline knew that most at Rhodes Island had quite the amount of blood on their hands, sob stories, and whatnot. And he had one hell of a sob story, that she had to admit. And it was also one only Kal'tsit and some other few individuals at R.I knew of, not even the Doctor himself knew, and it'd be better if it stayed that way for now.
Back to the matter at hand, though;
"You have possibly no regard for the lives of our fellow operators... Do you seriously expect me to simply brush that off and possibly endanger one of our colleagues just for the sake of completing one of your detours that, oh, you're so fond of?" Folinic began, her eyes glaring daggers at the person sitting a few meters away from her.
"I did get the job done, didn't I? Quit complaining, it'll only embarrass you further." Geist responded, his own piercing light-blue eyes matching her gaze briefly before settling back for the window behind Kal'tsit.
"Why you-!" There she goes-
"Ahem."
Both looked towards the other Feline in the room, and more importantly; their mentor.
"It has come to my attention that you two have no interest in mutual cooperation between each other, and more than one operator has complained about it to me. Thus, that brings us to my decision; from now on, you'll both be working once more under my orders as a duo." Kal'tsit explained, a stern gaze fixated on both of the young individuals. Almost like a mother scolding her children.
"Bu-"
"No buts, you're dismissed."
"Yes, ma'am..." They both said in unison, one grumbling under her breath while the other shrugged his shoulders with a roll of his eyes.
As soon as they were out on the hallway, the bickering started again.
"For all that's holy, I'm going to murder you if you embarrass me like that again..." The Feline let out, resisting the urge to reach over with her gloved hands and strangle him on the spot... Even if he would dodge any attempts of her grabbing him.
"You can try." Is all he added, stuffing his own hands inside the pockets of the jacket he wore; a wry smirk plastered on his face, which only tempted the Feline further into trying to commit murder. "I believe we have work to do in a few hours, yesterday was pretty rough... And you have a schedule to follow, don't you? Don't let me ruin it... Again, heh."
"You litt- Ugh, I despise that grin of yours. Genuinely."
"I know." And with that, he was gone down further into the hallway; leaving a frustrated Feline behind, her fingertips pressing down onto the ends of her coat almost alarmingly.
"...I hate you."
