So I might not update constantly, bc I'm really fucking lazy (jk I just fall asleep everytime I motivate myself to work), and also school.

Luke was thrilled. New city means a new start.

He had just moved from his small hometown to New York, to find himself. Find his passions, his dreams.

Not even the tears pouring from the sad skies could dampen his sunny disposition.

Today, Luke was off to explore more of the city of his dreams. He put on a grey coat, wielded his bright blue umbrella, and headed into the bustling city of New York.

-----

Somehow even in a new city he was an outcast.

People were staring at him like there was something off about him; it made him even more insecure. Luke frowned and ducked his head down, cowering away from judgmental strangers.

He couldn't help but ponder what was so off about him. His hair? His lip ring? His entire face?? There were hundreds of other people here, but somehow he was a spectacle.

Perhaps it was how cheerful he was, Luke realized. Surrounding the blonde, multitudes of people rushed down the sidewalks to get to wherever they needed to be. They were grumpy, stressed, and for some unknown reason, most of them were dressed in all black.

Luke was wearing quite a depressing color scheme himself, but at least his blue umbrella made up for it.

Bright headlights and the blinking colors of the lit up signs overhead also brought cheer to the gloomy grey skies and puddle stained streets. The wet of the roads reminded Luke of leftover tears after long periods of crying.

Who knew a city could get so depressing?

The blonde continued down the busy, soaking sidewalk, before he gets shoved over by some professional looking lady.

"Sorry," She mutters, not even bothering to help Luke up off of the wet pavement.

Luke cursed under his breath. Practically the entire right side of his body had gotten soaked.

"You alright, mate?"

He looks up to see a young man standing there. And oh god, Luke's face turned every shade of red possible. Now his umbrella and his cheeks made up for his attire.

This guy was fucking hot. And speaking of fucking, Luke would love to let this guy fuck him.

"Y-yeah. Perfectly fine," Luke stutters, trying to stand up swiftly. Being as clumsy as he is, however, Luke ends up slipping into this guy's strong arms.

Of fucking course he had to be hot and built as fuck.

"Oh man, you got soaked! Come on, I know a great place to dry off." The guy starts walking off, and Luke is frozen in place, shocked.

"B-but, um..."

The dark-haired boy has blonde highlights, and as of currently, he is brushing the lighter locks to the side of his face. Luke's heart picks up speed, even though he only just met...

"I d-don't know your name," Luke blurts.

The boy gives him an easy, sparkling grin. That smile's brighter than the goddamn sun, Luke thinks.

"I'm Calum Hood. You?"

"I'm Luke Hemmings."

"Luke," Calum says, more to himself than anything. His lips are turned upward slightly as he tests out the name, making Luke feel even warmer inside.
