I Promise I Won't Let Go * COMPLETE*

Prologue

14 year old Luz turned around before walking out of the Owl House to look at Eda and King. She couldn't hold back the tears from flowing out of her eyes as she ran back to Eda to give her one last hug.

"E-Eda please..I don't want to go yet, please I have so much more to learn." Luz cried as she hugged the woman's torso, "I'm gonna miss you..I-I can't leave yet, I'm going miss everyone."

Eda tried not to let her emotions get the best of her as she gently took the teen's hands off of her, "I know kid...But, your mom needs you back home."

"But this is my home!" Luz said as she looked up at the woman.

Eda softly smiled at her and gently shook her head, "Maybe in another life but..for now..ya gotta get back to your own realm." The two heard a soft knock on the door and there stood Willow and Gus waiting for her, "Go Luz..it's time." Eda said as Luz wiped her tears. "Goodby-"

"No kid..See you later." Eda cut her off as she smiled. Luz sobbed laughed, "Y-Yea..See you later." She headed to the door and gave her a final wave as she headed through the door.

"Hey guys.." Luz smiled as her two friends smiled back. "Sorry..I-I couldn't find-" "Its okay Willow..it's fine." Luz smiled. The trio walked into the forest until Luz stopped walking, "Well..this is my stop."
Luz said as she clenched the suitcase she had been holding.

There was silence, until Gus was the first one to break it, "Oh I'm going to miss you!" Gus hugged Luz as she chuckled, "I'm gonna miss you too, both of you." Willow joined the hug and they all laughed. As soon as they let go, Luz set the suitcase down and opened it, only for it to turn into a door filled with beam of light to appear.

"Well..this is it." Luz softly smiled, "Soo, I'll see you two later." Willow and Gus smiled, "Later." They both said as they gave her one final wave and began to head back. Luz sighed as she stared at the door.

Was this it?

Was this the end of her witch powers?

Will her mom be upset?

Only one way to find out. Luz took a deep breath as she put on a brave face. Before she could put her foot in through the door, a voice called out her name.

"LUZ!"

Luz whipped her head, "Amity?"

Amity had no idea what came over her but the minute she ran to Luz she practically threw her arms around the latina and sobbed. Luz didn't hesitate for even a second and practically hugged Amity as if she'd lose her forever.

"L-Luz please don't leave! This is your home! Y-You can't just leave! P-Please don't leave us...Please don't leave me."

Luz heard the pain in the witch's voice and hugged her with everything she had, it pained her heart. "Amity.."

Luz separated the two and took Amity's hands in hers and looked straight in the eyes. A purple circle formed around their hands, "...It's an oath. I will be back for you..I promise." Luz said with tears as Amity tried to contain her sobs.

"I-It's an oath." Amity smiled as she tried repeating it back. Once the circle faded, Luz hugged her one final time until they separated again. "I'll..see you later?" Luz smiled. Amity smiled, "I-I'll see you later." She looked down to realize they were holding hands and felt her face go red.

They stood there for a minute until Luz softly let go of her hands and faced the door.

She turned back to look at Amity who gave her an encouraging face. Luz smiled and waved again before going through the door. Once the door disappeared, Amity sighed.

"I love you.."

But..she'll be back. If anyone knew Luz Noceda well..they know that she would never break an oath.
