You play your tunes so alluringly,
And I always find myself dancing to them.
Sometimes I don't want to,
But you are such a damn tease,
I dance anyway.

I wish you'd treat me like your trophy child,
The one you introduce and show off to everyone,
The one you'd go on and on about proudly,
The one you love and hide under your shadow protectively,
The one you end up having  a little faith in somehow.

It's just sometimes you expect too much from me,
And you scare me, if not get into my head,
You crash me and tear me,
You milk me until I have nothing left to give,
I fall apart and can't break anymore.

Sometimes I don't even know what pleases you,
I get married you'll say , " but honey you too young "
When I hit thirty five you'll diagnose me with ' invisible woman syndrome',
You'll tell the potential suitors to ignore me,
'unfuckable ' is what you'll whisper  behind my back,
You even threaten the bartender if he  winks  at me,
And all this time you expect me to accept  my ' fate'.

Don't be like that,
I don't ask you for anything big,
Love me a little,
See me a little,
Am not all that bad.
