Ink clicked the red paint into his brush and delivered one final blow to Geno. As she slowly turned to dust he turned to see Dream fighting Error. He had Dream entangled in his strings and was spinning around him wrapping him tighter, and every so often whipping him. Ink ran to help his comrade, but he saw a red glint to his right and stepped back. A knife sliced through the air about a centimetre away from his face. He fell backwards into a tree, dropping his brush, and snow fell off the branches and buried him. He struggled out of the snow and reached for his brush, but a knife stabbed into the snowy ground just as his hand touched the tip of the handle, stopping him. He looked up and saw Cross' red eye staring back at him. Cross sliced through the air at him again and Ink rolled forwards, dodging his attack. He flipped over Cross' head and picked up his brush. After clicking the pink ink into it, he jabbed at Cross, sweeping the brush across his chest and back. Cross stabbed at him, but to no avail. Ink clicked the brush again and the ink on Cross' body turned to chains. He fell to the floor, trapped. Ink changed the ink to red.
'I always figured it'd be harder to end you, Cross,' he smiled down.
'Oh it's not over yet...' Cross smirked back. Before Ink could even question this a black tentacle knocked his brush away from him. He turned to face Nightmare. There were tentacles gripping onto trees, holding the ground, and ready to attack, and Nightmare was being held up by them about three metres in the air. Without his brush Ink began to panic slightly. Then he felt a snowflake softly graze his cheek and got an idea.
Nightmare began to monologue.
'Oh Ink, I'm disappointed in you. You let my little distraction work? How pathetic,' he turned to Cross, and broke the chains with a tentacle, 'Get up you fool! Now Ink, what should I do with-'
Ink threw a snowball at his face.
'Hey Squidward! In the mood for a snow cone?' He threw another.
Nightmare growled and advanced towards Ink. As Ink threw snowballs at him, Nightmare blocked as many as possible. He lunged a tentacle towards Ink, and just before it hit him, bones shot up from the ground, piercing the tentacle. Nightmare screamed in pain and turned around. Blue was standing behind him. He growled at Blue, but three glowing arrows shot into the ground where his tentacles held him up. Dream had managed to escape Error somehow. Nightmare, realising how outnumbered he was, turned away and fled into the trees.
Ink felt relieved for the first time in a few months. He heard a familiar voice shout:
'YO-LO!!!'
Fresh landed next to him in the snow.
'Fresh, where were you?!' Dream asked, after recovering from the slight shock of his sudden appearance and trying to move on from the fact he almost jumped out of his skin when Fresh landed.
'I was out scouting ahead broski,' he replied. 'There seems to be a snow storm coming so I wouldn't celebrate victory for too long!' He chuckled lightly.
Ink nodded and turned away. Picking up his brush, he looked around at the snowy mountains.
'Where's it coming from?'
'Uhh....'
'Oh Fresh, please tell me you didn't..?'
'Yeah, I kinda forgot which way it was coming from on the jump down..'
'Oh great,' Ink remarked disappointed yet not pessimistic. 'We'll go that way then,' he said pointing towards the tallest mountain. 'At least if the blizzard hits us head on the mountain can shadow us.'
Blue chimed in,
'We don't really have any other ideas,'
