''Hey there, jeno.''

Haesol peeked her head thru tge door only to see jeno sitting on his table with a bottle of alcohol.

Jeno looked up on the mention of his name. Haesol can clearly see his red eyes evidently due to the alcohol he drank these days.

''What do you want?'' His voice low and muffled, his drunken state making him more drowsy. He had been alone inside his room pacing around or idle for hours trying to overcome his heartbreak of his first love.

''I dont need anything. But..''

''But?''

''Seeing your state, you need it''

Jeno rolled his eyes. He didnt want anyone to stay by his side now. He didnt want to be a joykiller, he didnt want to be a distraction.

''I dont. So please go out..'' he tried to be strong but his voice failed him. It broke into muffled sobs, tears falling from eyes like a river.

He felt a warm embrace around him like a blanket was thrown around him. But blanket doesnt feel so comforting, it doesnt feel this safe.

He opened his eyes only to see haesol hugging him with his head in the crook of her neck. Her hair brushing his face, it felt like an angel comforting him.

''Haesol.. she left me.. i gave her everything... but she looked something better in him..''

Haesol couldnt say anything. She can only tap his back comforting him as he continued.

''I feel bad.. i feel so worthle-''

''Sh!! Dont say that. You are not bad. You are an angel. You are not worthless. You mean a lot to people surrounding you.''

''If its anyone, its her. She left you cause she couldnt see the good in you. She didnt understand you.''

''So dont say those words. Dont hurt yourself and hide here. The world is big. She is just a dust on the table. A blow is all it takes to make her vanish.''

Her words were comforting for sure. Jeno's heart felt warm and his body felt safe in his bestfriend's arms. She can make him feel worthful. But he always tried to shove those thoughts. It was just how friends feel, right?.

As his cries became inaudible, haesol pulled away. Jeno looked up in the lose of heat around him. She gave a sad smile almost apologetically.

She let her hand to him. Jeno looked at her, his eyebrows furrowed. His pupils moved between her smile and her palms.

''Take it. I will take you somewhere.''

Jeno took her hand with a second of thought. She pulled him out of his room. He allowed her to drag him out of the front door eventually.

Before he knew, he was in the passenger side of her car. He looked around the road. She was nearly in the low populated side of the city, the greens showing a lot on the sides.

''Where are you taking me?''

''You will see.''

With that a silence covered them both. It was comfortable. A lot more comfortable than his room.

with a few minutes of drive, they arrived in front of a small wooden cottage. He saw the sign hanging on the front door which made him know the cottage is a cafe.

CAFÈ PETS

He looked to haesol, who was already looking at him with a bright smile.

''Come on. The pups are waiting for us.'' With that she took his hand and dragged him into the cafe. They were greeted by a old man and woman, most likely the couple owning this cafe. But they werent the only welcomers.

Jeno felt something furry tackling him in the leg. He looked to see four adorable puppies. But his eyes drifted to his hand which was now released from haesol's grip.

''Lift them. They love who carries them.''

Jeno took one of the pups in his hand and bet down almost in a squatting manner and petted tge other three.

As he was reaching the third one. A hand lifted the pup.

''He's mine. You can look after those three.'' Haesol said and took the dog in her own arms and went towards the counter.

She came back with two drinks in her hands. The puppies were in their own game pacing around the cafe. She gave jeno his drink and sipped her own.

Jeno took a sip of his drink. But it wasnt sweet in the least. Rather it was a bit spicy like masala chai but still a drink. Jeno looked to haesol questioningly.

''It is good for drunk people. I dont want you to be drunk everytime.''

Jeno looked back to the table. His hand went to his pocket habitually but his phone wasnt there. He realised that he was practically dragged all the way here. He took his hand out and laid it on the table.

''Why here?'' It was question he had from the moment he entered the cafe.

Haesol looked up to meet his eyes. she took a sigh and her lips formed a small smile. ''I always come here if i feel sad, if i wanna be alone, if dont want to be disturbed  and many more. Basically its my safe haven.''

''And i thought you may feel the same way. This place gives a comforting embrace. It brings  a smile seeing these puppies so careless and playing with each other. The old couple so friendly.''

''I know you hated to be confined but you did that to yourself. So i wanted to bring you out. I wanted you to be back happy.''

''I wanted you to leavr the past. Find yourself again. I missed your company at the office. Jaemin was the worst companion. Fortunately, i gave that job to someone else.''

''I missed your bossy commands to the employees. your table missed its owner and the seat missed your ass. But importantly, i missed your eyesmiles.''

She was all smiles as she said him. He was thinking was i worth this much to someone? He never thought so. But hearing these things from haesol, he cant help but break a smile.

It was a real one. A real one after being in room for two weeks. A real one after the heartbreak.

Haesol saw his smile clearly. This what she wanted. To make him smile again. To make him feel lively. And she succeeded.

''These dogs remind me of a person who is so much important to me, i want to see them everyday. If possible every second of my life.''

Jeno looked into her eyes searching for answers.
''Who??''

Their eyes were in contact until haesol broke it and looked away to the pups who were now put into their placed by the lady. She shrugged away the question.

''Do you know what breed these are.?'' Jeno wanted  a word from her. So he asked another question.

''Samoyed'' haesol replied and looked at him again.

Their eyes in contact. And their lips into a smile towards eachother.

The smile from jeno was conforting yet painful fir haesol. At last, she knew how it felt to see someone you like to fall for someone else.

''I expect to see you in the office next week or i am bringing the office to you.''

Haesol said and made her way out the cafe into the car. Jeno followed her.

This trip made jeno feel something he couldnt explain. He didnt know, this was the start of something new.
