Cheney pulled him inside.

"What were you doing with such a low life as her?" Cheney cut in sounding like a singing toad. "Don't tell me you are choosing that sla-"

Jax angrily banged his fists on his desk. One could feel sorry for the poor wood.

"First of all don't call her that,"

Cheney opened her mouth but closed just as fast.

"Second, don't interrupt me when am talking so step!" He ordered.

"Blaze please, don't do this." She begged. "Please, please." Tears started to flow.

Now she was being over dramatic.

He clenched his teeth. Those tears reminded him of the days he used to fall for them. The days when she had him wrapped around her finger, and had hang to her every word. The days when he could have given up anything for her. The da-

He shook his head in dissapointment. He had saved his pride for her and what did she do? She went on ahead to betray his trust. In this life be careful of what you tolerate. You are teaching people how to treat you. He had tolerated Cheney's sour behavior and she went on treating him like garbage.

"Cheney," he started. "I took a roll on the dust for you, I put my heart on the line for you, I took you out when I had no money, everything I did was for you but you kept looking down on me." He stopped before he went on. "That day you showed me how stupid I had been to be charmed by your made up lies."

He looked at the woman that he had loved but now she had become a nuisance. She was expecting him to break his walls and take her back. He had been a fool once and he was not going to repeat the same mistake.

"I know, I know but I was too young then to know what love is, please just understand. I lov-."

"The last time I checked, am not Aiden." He cut her. "So go waste your pathetic tears on him." He was so done with her empty words and promises.

Wiping away her crocodile tears. " So this is how it's going to be?" She asked. "You have decided to go with that vamp instead of me."

"You know I don't like repeating myself." He said coldly. "Don't bring her up or call her names."

"Oh, someone is being all mushy and possessive." Said Cheney all her earlier tantrum forgotten.

Jax observed all this sudden change of behavior, and figured out that she was trying to get information out of him. In all his years of experience he had learnt to discern every action with the motive behind him.

He knew better.

"See your self to the door," He ordered.

"Don't change the subject, Jaxy dear."

"Don't test my patience, woman leave!" The tone he used meant finality

Rolling her eyes, she straightened herself and walked out. Just as proud as she had come.

When the door closed Jaxon say back on his chair. He had made his observation and concluded that something was wrong.
