For me personally, when the time tense keeps changing (between past and present) it can confuse me and make me 'snap' out of the reading experience.
To preserve:
The plot is obviously well-thought-out, and there's never a dull or uneventful moment in the story.
My overall opinion:
I was never a huge fan of vampire/werewolf stories, but this had enough story-line that I really didn't mind the whole mythological creatures at all. It's young, fun, fast-paced, and would be even better if the writing style was a bit more organized.
This story is for you if:
You were a twilight fan, if you're into werewolfs/vampires drama, if "enemies-to-lovers" is your favorite trope, and if you're looking for a whole world to sink into.
Just a reminder that this is purely my opinion, I am in no way expert and this is completely subjective.
