Chapter 29: The Rain

I grabbed her hand and kissed it . She made no movements but I smiled at the idea of talking to my son.

I reached over and kisses her belly. She was the only reason to live.

Melody POV

I felt heaviness on my arms as my eyelids got adjusted to the light. I looked around , heart rate bumping out of my chest. I tried to get but saw Aiden looking down at me smiling. He had a large smile , almost heartbreaking.

I grabbed his hand as he pulled his face toward my face.

"Don't do that , you scared me."he said as he gave me a kiss on the lips.

" Am I in the hospital? " I see the huge iv and groan .

"Yes , you need to care of your body more baby.And don't worry about them house , the police are handling it".

I didn't want to talk any more , I looked at aiden and smiled. He kissed me again and help me sit up. I rubbed my tummy and looked at the chart.

"7 months?, I taught I was 6"

"No beautiful , you are technically 7 months now . We are almost there."

He grabs my hand and kiss it.

"Maybe it is time to reading baby books".

He groans and looks around for his back pack. He pulls a stack of baby book and pointed to me.

"I have already started, your turn".

I chuckled and grabbed his hand. He opened a book and started to read.

I smiled as he was talking about fatherhood. Aiden had a horrible father figure and his mother was no better . He showed me pictures on how our baby looked now , He looked absoultely perfect. 

"So i am 30 weeks , He looks so small". I grabbed his hand as I pointed to the picture. I smiled as he pointed out his hand and his little legs.

I looked up at him and smiled as his cute face. He looked at the picture and grabbed my hand.

"I know what I want his name to be already".Aiden said while putting the picture on the side. I chuckled and kissed his cheek.

"Wait till he is born , you might change your mind". He looked at the window outside , noticing rain slowly falling.

"No I am positive already". You both stare at the rain , holding on too eachother.

As you both start to doze off , you hear a footsteps and look up. You see 2 large police officer , Nicklaus and Gevene . You look confused as you stare at Aiden face. He looks at Nicklaus as I look at the police. They seem serious and can't help but know something is wrong.

"What can I help you with officers?" One of the police officer walk closer to us as one shuts the door.

"Well we have some hard news , Mr.Schulze .Do you mind if I share it in from of everyone in this room".

Aiden looked around and nodded , watching the police officer take out a notepad.

"At approximately 10:00am today , police in Santa Barbara police department checked the cell of Andrea Schulze and noticed it was occupied.  The police officers check her cell as she seemed to have missed her daily exercise. They discovered her on the floor unconscious.  After trying to revive her , the noticed blood around her neck. They discovered that Mrs. Schulze had stabbed herself with a fork in her veins. She was found dead and her time of death was declared at 10:30 . "The police signed the paper as Aiden looked in shocked. I looked at his face started to fall, as a tear looked like it would escape.

"At approximately 2:00 pm today we got a call from a neighborhood saying that  they we concern for your father. Police went to check on your father home but did not have to check much. You father was shot point blank on his head , self inflicted wound. We are so sorry for your losses today".

Aiden lost it, he reached for his crutches but fell. I yelled as the police helped him up, restraining him.

"NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPEN IF I DIDN'T KNOCK YOU UP"Aiden yelled straight at me , making Nicklaus run to me. He shielded me away from Aiden and looked at him.

Aiden was fighting to get away from the police , as they held him. I looked at him , nervous that he really felt that way.

"LET ME GO!"Aiden screamed as the police grabbed him harder.

"SIR YOU NEED TO STOP , YOU ARE ACTING INSANE".

"IS IT INSANE THAT I FEEL IN LOVE AND MY PARENTS KILLED THEMSELF FOR IT! ". The larger officer looked at me and nodded. He grabbed Aiden by the collar and leaded him out.

I looked at Nicklaus as he decided to run out.Gevene ran after him , leaving me alone with the police officer.

The police officer sighed and pointed a chair next to me. I was wiping my tears and I smiled to him. He said down and looked at the rain.

"The rain can make a dog bark but a cat yawn". I looked at him and nodded at his strange metaphor. He smiled and put his hand out "Officer Steven Clint".

"Melody Cooper". As i shook his strong hand. He smiled and looked at all the baby books.

"You know I wish I had these when I became a single father. It might have help".I looked at his hand and noticed no ring.

" You have kids? What are there names".

He smiled and pulled out his phone. I see a picture of a beautiful little girl , holding a lollipop.

"Her name is Belle, her mom loved disney ". I smile as you hand back his phone.

"She is gorgeous , you have done well".

He smiled and got up " here is my card , if he acts up call me . You were lovely to talk to melody and I wish you and your baby luck". He waves at me as he walks out.

I look at the card and look at his cell number. He was sent down for heaven as a back-up soul I bet. Maybe he will replace James. I decided to take a nap before Aiden comes In.

I hear sobs coming from the door as Aiden walks in. He walks in , crutches in hand , whiskey in his left hand. I roll my eyes as he walks to me.  He looks down and kisses me . He tasted like salt and beer, making em gag.

"What did you have a better time fucking that cop , your mine! "

"Your drunk,  go to sleep".

I feel pain on my arm as he holds me tight.

"Oh baby , old Aiden is back , the one you hated but my parents liked".

He grabs my chin and kisses me, before grabbing his whiskey and sitting on the chair. He looks at the window as I start to cry.

The Rain can make a dog bark but a cat yawn... still doesn't know what it means but it applies
