Review: Since there are a lot of mixed opinions on this manhua which can sway raters, I'll try my best to give an unbiased review for this. Personally, I do think that the plot is a bit of a mess, with a typical contract marriage storyline, and can easily seem overrated and boring to readers who have already gone through this. There aren't any key points in the plot that seem to stand out, and lots of the chapters are cliched. The artist didn't do a great job depicting Lucia, the FL, as her mouth is way too small sometimes, and other times it takes up half her face. The eye shape is all over the place, and the noses are triangles. Hugo, the ML, has the typical 'silent, strong type' persona, which is much too exaggerated in the manhua and generally makes it annoying to read. Scenes or explanations are dragged ON AND ON for chapters sometimes, and the art doesn't help to get past the boredom. I'm hoping that Season 2 comes back better- much better, and true to the original novel (which was AMAZING). Something that might have drawn lots of readers in was the romance, which didn't hesitate to depict s*x scenes, and some genuine romance. There are a LOT of hot bed scenes in this~ which are for all you readers that enjoy that. There is also the mystery aspect of this story, which is what mainly got me through my first read. H O W E V E R, I'm not completely putting this story down, because I'm rating this from a perspective of a person that has read mangas/manhuas/manhwas for years now. So if you're new, and want to give this a try, by all means, GO AHEAD! Just know that there are tons of other stories out there that could take this plot a step further.
