It's Not Easy

It's too easy to fall in love
But to get out of it

That's another story

Forget the days you spent
Forget the gifts
Forget the thoughts
The secrets

The memories.

All of what made you fall
To begin with
Is your downfall once again.

For some people
They say it's easy.

They must have never felt true love

What makes your heart flutter
Your stomach turn in loops
Your eyes that once saw pain
Saw hope.

But with healing

Came hurt

There is nothing worse than rejection
From that one you've come to care of
Or even no answer
Just silence

It hurts even more.

At least with a simple
Yes, or
No
You have some sense of
Closure.

But not with the quietness
The silence of it all

It's not easy.
Any of it.

And it feels that it never gets
Better
