and the saga of taeyong adopting everything he sees continued, but they surely had fun being at the park only. though, it was kind of burdensome for jaehyun who kept on apologizing to the owners and even to the mothers for the older's action in getting everything he sees that is adorable and cute.

❝no, he's not squishy and he's not yours!❞ to another puppy.

❝taeyong, don't just go around stealing pets!❞ to a cat that he carried and was ready to sprint away.

❝you're adopting a rock?❞ to taeyong that's sulking at the corner and is talking to an inanimate object.

❝jesus— wifey, drop the kid!❞ and lastly, to a child that taeyong was playing with and is also this near to signing adoption papers.

he surely is a handful, and taeyong must have already been known around the park by now because of how he's always teleporting from one place to another, grabbing anything his eyes spots adorable. and jaehyun, he never left his side. not until the park's security guard was calling his attention about his car being parked at the wrong side. the younger sadly has to leave the sulking male for a while to park his car at the somewhere else.

it took him a while before getting back and seeing taeyong just waving goodbye to the kids he was playing with. a smile made its way to jaehyun's lips as he watched him from afar. eyes trailing at the shorter male who's finding an empty bench to sit on and rest, the younger strode his way towards him and surprised the older by ruffling his hair.

getting in front of him, jaehyun crouched down and noticed how the older was having a hard time breathing with a hand on his chest.

still, he kept a smile on. ❝are you tired?❞

taeyong nodded his head, feeling his hand being taken by the younger and and having him caressing it softly. ❝a l-little bit.❞

a little bit? maybe he had too much fun, too much for his health. while playing with a group of kids a while ago, he had to first excuse himself even though he didn't want to stop being with them. he honestly enjoyed, but maybe he went overboard. fortunately for him, it wasn't that serious. taking deep breaths in would be enough and maybe a short rest would do.

but seems like he would be having it when jaehyun started pulling him up to stand. he couldn't get himself back to sit down when the taller male was looking at him with eyes filled with affection and a smile that anyone would melt.

time passed by with them being at the park until the sun was slowly setting. people were starting to leave one by one until there were only a few of them left there, that includes both taeyong and jaehyun who looked like they were taking the spot in the middle.

❝what are you doing?❞ eyes following the male's action, the shorter tilted his head to the side when he saw him taking his phone out and also some earphones. ❝you fixed your old one?❞

❝nope, i bought a new one while also buying this couple shirt we are wearing right now.❞ jaehyun told him with a chuckle, glancing up at him for a second before lowering his head down and searched for a certain song that he had just came to discover again because of this guy right here. ❝come closer.❞

taeyong followed his orders and took a step near him, flinching when he felt the guy making him wear the left pair. ❝hm?❞

while adjusting the other on his ear, jaehyun pressed a specific song before putting the phone inside his pocket and now held the older's hand. ❝i feel really stupid for not knowing the reference during that time.❞

just when taeyong had already composed himself with his breathing becoming normal, he got startled when the younger leaned down to him and had his forehead sticking with his. surprisingly, he wasn't reacting much to it. by that, meaning, his heart isn't beating fast and overreacting to every sweet gesture that jaehyun makes.

it probably is because of the song that started playing, with him humming to it, or because of how the two of them were finding content in being right next to each other. either way, taeyong was loving it.

he was loving how his day was.

he is loving every second of it.

and he is loving jaehyun.

❝you can count on me like one, two, three,❞ the younger began singing with a slight chuckle and his eyes closed, having their bodies slowly swaying from side to side. ❝i'll be there.❞

hearing him and his honey voice, taeyong moved away and stared at the taller male who's now smiling softly at him, his hand being lifted up and settling it on his cheek. he wasn't just singing that line to the song, he also meant it. it reassured the older, making him feel warm and cozy inside.

❝i'll always be here for you, taeyong.❞ moving near, jaehyun noticed how the older had his eyes closed. yet, he didn't take the opportunity to kiss his lips. instead, he went to place a long one on top of his forehead. ❝in every step of the way, remember that.❞

taeyong felt himself almost tearing up because of how hard he had really fell towards this person, how he was being taken care of genuinely, and how he got to be reassured that he won't get his bubu broken into pieces.

standing there, just hearing the younger hum to the song, taeyong was having his eyes closed and a hand placed on his chest, while the other continued on holding on to jaehyun's.

too much. he is well aware that he's feeling to much. normally, people would have their insides fluttering at this kind of moments, but him? his heart was aching. however, he knows not to show any pain in his face. he kept himself looked calm and collected, but he was already breathing heavily, and having his brows furrowed as he wondered how he can manage this without being too obvious.

but for jaehyun, he was too clouded with his emotions to even notice the signs. all he did was pull away and admire how the shorter male looked so beautiful, so innocent, yet so tempting at the same time. and that's when his feelings were starting to gush in, having him being confident to say the words that's already at the tip of his tongue.

but he waited till the song ended, till they were engulfed with silence, and they only have each other. taeyong fluttered his eyes open and also feeling the same thing as what jaehyun was feeling right at that moment.

it's beautiful, the feeling of love is so beautiful.

❝damn,❞ jaehyun whispered, but enough for taeyong to hear. ❝i'm so in love with you.❞
