I had just finished folding up the laundry and surely I've missed a few steps when I ran downstairs. It was friday and I was in a very good mood. This week I'd been especially good at doing the chores Daddy set out for me and I even got the best grade in my latest exam. Knowing the sweet guy Daddy is, I was sure he was gonna reward me with a nice snack, probably home backed.

When I opened the door to our living room Daddy was waiting for me. The curtains were closed, and my weekendbag was on the coffeetable, opened and seemingly empty. He looked very stern today.
'''Daddy, what..'' I felt my voice getting smaller as he looked sharply at me.
''Pack your bag, girl'' his voice was very flat.

Oh no, he wasn't done with me, right? I mean I'd been a very good girl and why would he get tired of me now? Did he find out about two summers ago? What happened?
If he noticed the looks on my face he didn't do the faintest to show me.

He handed me a piece of a paper, with a list on it in his o-so-familiar chickenscratch. I let my eyes glide over it. As I read the things on the list, my confusion only grew.
•2 dresses
•5 sets of underwear (cute)
•heels
•walking shoes
•collar
•tail
•the blue tin from underwear drawer
•no phone!

I didn't even know there wás a blue tin in my underwear drawer. He wasn't pleased with me taking the time to read the list. ''GO!''

Not wanting to anger him anymore than he already was I grabbed the bag and  ran up the stairs again to our bedroom. On the bed was a black dress, shorter than I would wear outside the house with a few sheer parts and a sticky note put on it. ''Wear this & red heels'' it said in big black letters. I figured he must've put this here along with a blue tin in my underwear drawer while I was folding the laundry.
I packed my bag with my heart throbbing in my throat like it was trying to single-handedly bring back rave parties to our neighborhood. The red heels I chose were on the high side for me, so I grabbed the railing tight when I went down the stairs again.

Daddy was standing by our front door with my leather jacket in his hands. He threw the leather jacket at me. ''Put this on and follow me''. I hoped this wasn't the purpose of the walking shoes as he locked the door behind me. My heels clacked on the paving stones as I tried to keep up with the fast pace of my husband. Those combat boots screamed practical today. I tried to find a balance between keeping up with his pace and not giving away the silent revenge I put at the bottom of my bag. It only took a few streets for me to notice where we were going, the trainstation.

I wondered where he would take me all the way to the modern, ratty station. I wasn't able to bring out a single syllable. When we were at the platform his face showed a scray grin and an even scarier twinkle in his eyes.
''Now, where did I put it'' he muttered as he rummaged through the pockets of his cargo pants. What he retrieved was one train ticket. He handed it to me.
''You'll get in the next train and get off the train in three stops. You'll know who's picking you up when you see him.''

My mouth flew open and I found my voice again. ''Daddy, you're not going with me ?'' I whispered.
He shook his head. ''Nope. Have fun, sweetie''. He kissed me on the forehead and walked away. Leaving me dumbfounded.
